Talking Exercise Week of July 8th

Hi!! Starting us off for another healthy week of exercise! I didn't do as well last week with being gone for vacation and getting back in the swing of it, but this week will be right back to it. My goal is to exercise at least 5 times before next Sunday and to have at least two of those workouts be the 3 mile Walk Away tapes. Good luck everyone!!

Hi Guys!! Hope someone else besides is going to join in this week with me. I did my 2 Mile Walk Away tape this a.m. and then just now when I got back from all the errand running I did the 1 Mile Walk Away tape. Feels good now--hope I don't stiffen up by tomorrow.
Hoping to see some more "faces" soon!

Today is day 2 for me visiting the Y!

Maybe this will become a habit. I am at the Y at 5:30 and I work until 6:15, only 45 minutes, but it is better that nothing. I decided that I have to do this not only of weight loss purposes, but for my strength. I am finding lately that my range of motion for my arms is very limited and I do not have the same strength that I am used to having.

Thanks Scooby for your inspiration, your early morning trips to the Y have truly inspired me.

And besides, I am paying a monthly fee, I may as well get some use out of it.

only a half mile for me today. tonight was the monthly nonsupport group meeting at the hospital, and i didn't want to get overtired, with staying out late and wandering the hallways...

a wise choice.

Got in my 2 Mile Walk Away tape this afternoon and am planning on doing the 1 Mile before dinner while my DS is lifting weights for football. I have to admit that having to be accountable today made me do it today--whatever it takes right???? Good job everyone!!!!

Default I was lazy yesterday.

Stayed in bed and then decided to clean house instead of going to work out. I did ride my bike though. Today I got my big butt out and to the club in record time, but for some reason the workout wasn't too good today. It was an instructor that I usually like, but even though I worked as hard as I could, it wasn't a hard workout.

So as of today its 4 days of riding the stationary bike for 30 minutes and 3 days of 1 hour water aerobics workout.

It's storming here tonight, so I'm going to bed. May or may not get up in the morning.

Default Jiff

I don't remember if I told you that Alvin has started going to the health club and walking in the water 3 days a week. He walked for 25 minutes yesterday. That really is progress from before his surgery when he couldn't get from the house to the car without getting out of breath. (He would literally have to sit in the car for several minutes and catch his breath before he could start the car and drive off) I am soooo proud of him.

Oh yes, he goes to the kidney specialist on Monday morning, I'll let you know what he says.

Of cours since I'm up this early I have not excuse not to go to the club.
