We, had a great time! We met Leens and Amazing Baby Gracie and they followed us to the diner. Rosemarie knew us right away as she drove up...she said it was the baby although perhaps it was my monster hair!
We laughed, and had a few wheepies and ate and laughed some more. And you know what? It was really really REALLY nice to spend time with members of your estrogen posse who know "stuff" about you (and love you anyway) and have been supportive and kind and gracious and just plain WONDERFUL!
So....chicklets, if you ever get an opportunity to go or even go out of your way to meet another chickie...ask 'em if they're packin and then DO IT!
I miss them all ready!

Peach it was great meeting you today. Your baby is just so beautiful and soooooo good. So glad to meet Juffy and leans too. We had a short but fun meet. Ruth and Nora are just so special. We had a great week end. They had a different picture of NJ and quite surprise how nice it is here. We did some sight seeing on Sat. They plan on coming back next year for the grand tour.
If you ever have a chance to go to a meet, don't hesitate. Its a blast.
rose... did those canadians addle your brain with too many carbs??? baby gracie belongs to leens... peachie has no little girls. just two boys.. very cute ones, but no way can they be mistaken for sweet baby gracie.. all decked out in pink with that big smile and those blue BLUE eyes, just like her mom's
yes, it was a fabulous fabulous visit... many hugs, a tear or two. it really did feel as if we've known each other forever.
and i have to give these ladies credit: no one dived into my plate to grab the forbidden home fries!!!!!
leens is a sweetheart. with blue eyes that ruth said look like they're lit from the inside...
nora didn't want to give gracie to her mom. and we didn't want ruth and nora to head home!!!!
and the chicken purse is alive and well... ruth was hanging it out of the car when they all drove up!!! and no one tried to steal it!! [you know how jersey girls can be!!!!] or maybe you don't]
and do you know... they brought a STRANGER along.. from california!!! but she was lovely, and for better or worse, she fit right in. maybe it's her garden, or maybe it's the fact that she has rottweilers, but carolyn was just terrific. she at least acted as if we weren't crazy!!!
and rubirose... well, peachie and i were talking on the way home, and we agreed that rose was just like some of our relatives, and we loved her immediately. the italian thing, ya know.
so, i'm ready for another visit. there seem to be rumblings about events in south carolina later this summer...
Anyway, please do come see me down here in Lonesome-ville, ya'll!! I miss out on all the good stuff! Hope you can stand the heat, it's only about 115 in the shade on a hot day.

I could not wait to get to my computer this morning to tell you guys what a blast I had yesterday. You ladies are so much fun, I was smiling all the way home and even when I got up this morning.
I'm telling you, what a beautiful, sweet bunch of women and even Grace thought so, she just LOVED sitting on Nora's lap in the mall and let me tell you Grace doens't go by just anybody. Nora I think she's adopted you as her 3rd Grandma. How was your cookie Nora you are a pistol. The next time you come to NJ I'M BUYING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again.
The day started out a riot, there were Peach and Jiffy standing in the middle of the road (almost) flagging me down, like I could drive by and miss them two crazies. I don't care what Jiffy says, she is sweet and she's got one of the best sisters in the world. There's a lot of family love there, you can tell bye the way they look at each other.
Rosie I feel like I've know you forever, she is just the most darling person you'd want to meet. I felt like I was at home with her especially when she asked, how do you put your bra on Hope I see you again.
And then there's Ruthie, sweet, sweet, sweet Ruthie, after all these years FINALLY I got to look at your beautiful face and hug you.....and NO Tippy, I didn't fart Ruthie even came bearing gifts..what a sweetheart....What can I say Ruth, I'm lost for words....MOVE TO NJ !!!!!!
Carolyn if your reading this, it was so nice to meet you, I hope you had a safe trip home.

It was such a blast to meet you wonderful women!!! I'm still reeling!! Each of you are so special, I am so honoured to have met you. Jiff, you seem so wise and courageous. It's like you're a general in the army and you've fought all these tremendous battles that would have finished off a lesser person. I think of quiet dignity when I think of you.
Peachy, I could tell right away how totally tied you are to your family, the bonds that you guys share are so obvious. The way you speak of your boys and how proud you are of Jiff... You are an amazing woman in your own right, Peachy. I feel like I've known you forever. ))))
Leens, not only are you incredibly beautiful on the surface but it goes all the way through you. I'm sure that's what Ruth meant when she said that she could see the lights behind your eyes. If I had a daughter, I would have prayed for one like you. And Gracie!! Wowwww!! What a sweetie pie!!!
