Wakey! Wakey! Gorgeous day coming up. There is a mist on the meadow and the birds have been hollering since 4.

That darn 2 pounds is gone again! Up 2 pause up 2 pause and then down 3.5. This is weird but I am sure it has to do with erratic water intake.

Nora and I are all set to take off for NJ Friday morning. This will be a really great break for me and I don't give a darn that my garden is not in. I bought some lettuce yesterday after physio and aim to plant it this morning.

Dogs are both ready to go out so back later.

Default Good Morning! Good Morning!

Don't know why I'm in such a good mood this morning, since I have a dentist appt at 10. I'm really scared at what they will find, I had lots of dental work done last June and since I was in the hosital for the 3 months and could not brush my teeth, I'm really afraid of what will be found. Wish me luck.

Ruth you enjoy your trip, your garden will still be there when you get back.

I took my daughter to apply for her first job yesterday. We went to a park that is about 5 miles from our house, both of my boys have worked there in the past, and one still works there. It's a great place for kids to work during the summer. Check it out, www.stonemountainpark.com Now we just need to wait for a call back.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day
debbie

I don't know why the url for Stone Mountain Park didn't work since that is the web site address, oh well, if you have a minute take a look at the web site, it is a really neat place to visit

Morning all --- hmmmmm, who's got the coffee??!?!? Well, I guess DH is just gonna have to get his act in gear and make it (I'm busy being here!)...
Actually, just popped in to say hi and wish you all a great trip to Jersey... wish I could visit too, but with the grandkiddies - you really wouldn't want me there!! Gotta get to the bank (forgot to mail my car payment, and don't want to pay a late fee of $35, so I'm going over there when they open!!! )
Hopefully I'll get back here tonight or tomorrow a.m. before work - after that, kiddies are here for 5 days..... and I CAN"T WAIT!!! (I've never had them so long before because my dd and sil don't ever want to be away from them, but this is a business trip, and sil needs his wife there - works for me!!
Enjoy your day everyone!

Well today will be my 4th day and my 3rd day OP. Yesterday I started to get the headaches, but I'm proud of my self. I haven't had the cravings yet. Hopefully I don't get them. My water intake has also been great.

Yesterday I did my first step program in 4 years and made it through the whole hour. I am proud of my self. I also did a 20 min ab workout as well. When I do that my abs hurt for a week. But that is good. I didn't get to do my weights, I have a time limit at my gym due to kids in the daycare. I'm going to do both upper and lower body wieghts today. Because tomorrow is step and abs again.

Today I'm also going to call our local pool and find out how much for a fam pass. My girls are ready to go swimming. And our local lake is being drained, so is closed for the next 2 years. That was the only free place to swim.

samsgrandma, have fun with the kids. I just left my kids for the first time with my parents and ended up having a blast. And so did my parents ( my kids are 2&4, but my brother and sister are 6&14)

Ruth, Hope your trip to Jersey is a good one.

Debkay, hope your dentist appt goes good. I can't stand the dentist either. I don't think anyone really likes going there.

Scooby2, how was your Y workout? Good I hope.

And hope everyone had a great day!!

DEBKAY.....SEND ME SOME KUDZOO!!!!!

MB, sending you and yours prayers!

Talking Hello everyone!

I'm feeling a little smug here. Pardon my ugliness! My friend (who is spending $300 or so a month for the diet doctor) and I went to dinner tonight. I remained 100% o/p and smokefree, while she liberally imbibed and ate all sorts of bad stuff, and smoked half a pack while we were there! I have lost more weight since Friday since she has over a week ago, all for the $5 I spent on my book. Hmmmmmmmmmm...... I tried to tell her!

Anyway, that's how my day went. I love being right once in a while!

Ya'll have a good one, will check in later!!

i just love reading the daily!!! all this real life stuff...

swimming is soooo wonderful. i have to find a place to swim, too. someplace that's open a lot and convenient. it's the only exercise i actually like.

and can't wait for sunday morning!!!! if only all of you could join us, but we'll all be together in spirit!!!!!

and debkay... we LIKE stone mountain... i remember the paddle wheeler on the lake..

so glad to see you back, even if your teeth did rot in the hospital. but it'll be fine. i'm convinced. after everything you and i have survived, it HAS to be fine!!!

now, ladies. i hope this tickles your collective funny bones.

i HAD to get a weight this morning. and i wasn't going to work until i found a scale!!!! [and NO, i don't want to buy one. i'll be on it and off it 5 times a day at least!!!!!]

the chiropractor is too far away, and he doesn't open until 11, and he doesn't do wednesdays anyway. the PCP doesn't open until 2 pm...

my mom's doc's office will let me use theirs, but only if i'm with mom.

where to go where to go??? ANSWER!!! like a lightbulb!!!

THE NURSING HOME!!!! the one where i spent three weeks!!!

so, i stopped, and went to the second floor, sprinting down the hallway [it always SEEMED to go on forever when i was there trying to walk but i think i covered the distance in four steps!!]

and found connie, the aid who had taken such good care ofme, and christie, the nurse who was wonderful too. many hugs, and then connie and i went to find the scale..

and, oh, disappointment. 199 pounds!!!!. one pound off! don't i sound like a brat here????

not quite 200. do you think it'll be ok if i go watch shopping this weekend???? this is 4 pounds gone in a week...

anyway, it took me 20 minutes to get out of there [the dietician, the physical therapists, the occupational therapists, everyone!!!}

it was a great start to my day.

Good evening.

It's funny how things can work out for you sometimes. I was bumming big time because tonight little DS was crossing over from Tiger Cub to Wolf pack at his den meeting so I wouldn't get to go to the gym. (Don't get me wrong -- I wanted to attend the ceremony -- I just also wanted to work-out).

Then DH hit me with the fact that his car is leaking antifreeze and he has to drop it at the station so he'll be taking my car to work. Well, I'd already accepted an assignment at the middle school. Work-out problem solved! The school is only 1.2 miles from our house (DD is actually a "walker" because it's less than 2 miles distance). So we had DH drop us off at the school in the AM and then we walked home (seperately, of course, because God forbid she been seen walking with her mom! )

I've checked out the www.fitday.com website someone recommended here. Thanks! It is a great place to record your fitness goals and achievements. Although, I'm having a bit of trouble negotiating the food journal. Keep hitting walls when it comes to matching what I ate with what's in their data banks for food/beverages. Guess I'll just stick to my old-fashion hand journal for that. Works better anyway -- it's portable.

Hope you all had a great day! Talk to you soon.

This is my third week, and it's been the easiest diet, or WOE that I've tried in years!!!
