Finally a nice day coming up. I have been down in the dumps because of three whole days of cold and rain - even some snow yesterday! However, the sunrise is going to be clear and a good day is predicted.
Hershey has both paws on my thigh which means "gotta go" - I'll be back in a wee while and will bring coffee and mugs - decaf for the wusses!
Morning Ruth thanks for the coffee! Morning all to come!
Does anyone read the "Earth's Children" series by Jean M. Auel? I have been waiting for 12 years for her new book and finally (FINALLY)it is out! I am having a hard time keeping my nose out of it, thus my lack of computer communicating! Only 600 or so more pages to go and I will resurface! I am usually too cheap to buy a hard cover book, but this was one of those "gotta have it" type!
My house isn't so clean and I have a new term for my hair...."monster hair" but I don't care, By the time I am done with the book it should be looking more troll like than monster like!
Dh's mom is still hanging in there! She always was full of surprises! Dh is still not sure if he is going to fly out there this weekend.
The boys are doing well. The big kid seems "free and easy" with wrestling over and baseball to enjoy. A much better spring than last year for him and his brother and us as a family. Things are good and I think...crossing my fingers and toes that I may show a good loss at the scale this week.
Back to some serious deck sitting and coffee sipping (swigging) and reading before they all get up!
We will be having S&S (sun & seventies) today, hooray! We have not been getting the Canadian snow, but, we have had loads of rain and cold temps. Yuck! The boys love the outdoors, and I love it when they are spending time outdoors. The only problem is I cannot decide to I clean my house or weed the flower beds. Both are depressing me, because both are a major mess!
Morning Ruth, glad your weather is getting better.
Hi Peachie, prayers for dh mom. Deck sitting, wish I could join you for a chat and come coffee sipping/swigging.
Nice to see you posting ms spotdog, would love to see some of melis's work, sound wonderful. I just love baseball season. My 9 yo just started majors this year with real pitchers. He was hit with a pitch last week, as were 4 of his teammates. It was quite sad, because at this age they do not hold the tears back, so we had a bunch of weeping boys. And the rest of them were afraid of the pitches. I hope that he is not scared tonight.
MamaJ, hope all is well with you and yours.
Tippy, I am glad your dh has a diagnosis, now he can concentrate on the treatment and a lc life.
Pooky any luck with that possibility of a second day care job?
Sue, hope you can join us here on the daily once in a while.
Scooby, you just might be convincing me to make a purchase, that r-chicken sounds delish!
Just back from chasing my neighbour's dog for a change. Someone said I sound as if I have about 7 dogs and it certainly seems that way. Kisha is a Siberian husky who escapes regularly and always comes to my house. I rescued her yesterday too - she had her head caught in the dryer vent - looked like a trophy mount on the side of my neighbour's house. My neighbour was at work and Kisha decided through the vent would be a good way to get outdoors. She sure was in a panic. Had to take off some of the siding to get her free! I'm the Mother Theresa of the dog world says DH! This morning's escape was through the first floor bathroom window - Kisha is bored and needs to get a life!
Hershey and I are walking our 2K this morning before I start anything else like garden cleanup. I am just doing cutting back - DH has hidden the shovel and fork as digging really aggravates my shoulder. The physio guy says the damp weather is partly to blame for the pain I've been having. On the other hand, the weather has kept me from gardening so.....
Hope all the new chicks come and join the daily
- Nasus called it **** chat but we seldom talk about poop!
I do love typos - Tip and I have seen some dillies!
Ruth, loved the story about the neighbors dog caught in the dryer vent, I can just picture it.
I'm still hanging in there, I'm finally able to start a little walking program. That is the one thing I have been not doing with my journey, just wasn't strong enough before now. Yesterday I met my daughter half way home from the bus stop, the look of delight on her face was priceless. She took my arm and walked me home, I so enjoyed it.
It's cool in the deep south this AM, but should warm up to be a wonderful day.
I saw one last night trying to use the oriole feeder, so DH put theirs out. Gosh, we may have summer yet!
I am so excited about Jean M. Auel's latest book! It took twelve years for it to be written as she was also writing another one. Today, I'm going to find the series in my vast collection and start from the beginning.
Tomorrow I won't be around. Am going with DH to two plants quite a long way from here. Most of the time will be spent driving, with a meeting that won't last very long. Then we go to another plant for a quick check. I thought it might be fun to ride along. Am taking a book to read though.
OH Deb that is wonderful! I can just imagine that she felt so proud of you, as we all are here! keep up the good work!
Ruthie, dogs and cats are the same, I had a cat that got it's head stuck between the panes of glass in a window because it was chasing a bug. Took baby oil and gentle twisiting to get the cat out but boy did he yowl!
Jenny, I agree with you. It's so much better when the kids get to go outside and play and this yucky weather we've been havinghasn't helped. We are also having nice wether for a change today Still no word on the job front though.
Peachie, is that the author of Clan of the Cave Bear? My mother loved those books and glad to ear there's a new one out for her to enjoy.
Have a not too stressful day at work Scooby!
I think I may be mistaken, but I think that TOM is just starting this morning. This is a welcome sign since I haven't seen TOM in about 6 months or more. I go see my OBGYN tomorrow and we're going to decide what to do. I'm expecting to be put on Clomid, as well as doing an increased dosage of Metformin. I also have some information for him about Paxil and pregnancy--seems that there are indeed side effects in that a baby can be born with withdrawl like symptoms and respiratory problems! I had 2 doctors tell me that it was safe to be pregnant and take the meds but not according to a recent study by Sick Kids hospital in Toronto. The findings were just released May 7th so this is new information and I really want my obgyn to be aware of it. If I do get pregnant, then I will definitely be considered high risk. I'll let you all know how it goes tomorrow when I get back.
Morning all! Not alot of time...off for my massage at nine and then cut and color at 1045....booked a pedicure for Saturday...trying to find my passion as Dr. Phil calls it.....then it is home to fold laundry, clean house and tie up loose ends! Reality bites! Liz
Two days down and the rest of my life to go. I slept better last night, but I drank half of an Atkins shake just before bed.
Just for info, I'm a cat person I have two cats at home Odie & Oliver and 2 cats at work Smokey & Blackey. I'm attaching a pic of Smokey with my sentiments as of lately I DON"T DO MORNINGS!!!
Ohhh, I love cats too! I have two in the house named Tippy and Brat. We live in the country so we have 12 ouside and that number may change as the mama cats bring babies up the house to be fed. And, yes they all have a name!
I know, its no longer morning, or even afternoon for that matter!
I'm running late today!!
I started a message board for the team I've started for my walk coming up. I had no clue what I was doing...faked it the whole way, and now have to go back and redo things I did wrong, such as needing to ok all members and messages...no thank you!!
I do think I learned how to attach pictures though...so I'm going to give it my first try here....If it comes out, it should be my ds and I last October...
Have a good evening all!
Stacey
Ok, guess not...says too large? I had no idea I was even too large in a picture!!
I wonder if any of you read this after posting so early in the am. I think you all are having lunch before I even get out of bed. This pacific time zone thing is hard to get used to! Even my family calls me at 5 in the am...and then ask me what I am still doing in bed!
Pooky - you are in my prayers!
McMom - LOL, too large in pics! The computer screen is just like everything else...they think one size fits all means a size 7!!!
I have some great news...24 lbs down since 042002!!!!
I now weigh 268 lbs. and while the people around me do not see this as an accomplishment, I think it's great! At this rate, I could be at goal in 6 months! Yeah, I know that is not realistic...but it gives me hope. If I could be at goal in even 1 year...oh my God, I would be one elated woman! No more pain in my feet and legs. No more sleep apnea. Reduced cholesterol, triglycerides and blood sugar. And the all important one, increased sex drive..(not mine, my husbands )
These are the kinds of days I wish I could bottle up and save to sip on later!
I pray all of you will have a day (no, every single day) overflowing with hope!
