Default Independence Day Challenge #2

So sorry to miss Monday's opening, Ladies. I have been up to my ears here as it is April vacation and the kids want to go here and there. Mom get's to play "taxi driver". Oh, well. While they're doing their thing, I'm planning my garden.

I got on the scale without any changes this week (again). Hmmm. That goal is looking tougher. However, I can button my jeans a bit easier so I'm not worrying about it. Plus I ate a lot of salty foods this weekend and my rings are tight. Will weigh in again on Friday to see if the needle has budged.

How are the rest of you all doing?

Default Original Goals

Good question, Liz! I went back to Independence Day Challenge #1 and looked up all of the goals to which we've all committed. Here they are:

jdoneil1 (Jo): 30 Pounds (now 34 pounds)

nasus40 (Sue): 25-30 Pounds

Peach Pit: 15-25 Pounds

Ruthxxx: Weigh less than 200 pounds

Harleylady (Karen): 30-40 Pounds

Belle128 (Gina Belle): Weigh in the 170s; walk 2-3 miles per day; fit in a size 14 jeans

Janet8 (Janet): 180

Liz321 (Liz): 30 Pounds

Leens: Joined group but did not list challenge.

I'm now making my challenge 34 pounds. Yes, it's higher despite less time but I've actually GAINED 4 pounds in the last two weeks (don't ask, please). Back on track this weekend. Even got in a 30 minute walk and some serious gardening (hoeing, pulling weeds, raking, mowing lawn with old fashioned push mower).

Glad to see that some of you have been having better success!

Thanks for the reminder Jo.......I haven't stopped eating since I weighed myself on Friday..... Anyhow I think I am a bit nervous about surgery on Wed...sure it will be fine, I am hoping I deliver a 10 lb gallbladder

On the flip side I have sprinting up 7 flights at work and am doing it in one minute and 15 secs...and can speak at the top...Liz

That is a huge accomplishment for me

Liz! good luck with your gall bladder surgery! I'll be thinking of you!!!

Hey Jo! I had to go back and figure out my weight on the original thread. I am down 3 pounds since then (april 6th) and I am looking forward to continuing the downward trend DESPITE the 1.8 pound gain I had on Thursday...live and learn and move on!!!

So, maybe I could make the 15 pound loss by the Fourth of July...I just want to keep moving down and keep in control (but not too tightly wound!)

Hey gang, I want to join!

Please put me down to be at 180 by July 4. I am at 205 at the time, gaining a few pounds back after the Easter challenge.

Good luck to us all.
