Good morning, Rachel. Hey, sweat a little for me, too. Please.

I got a nasty wake up alarm this morning. Some joker (going to question the kids when they get up) decided to change my radio alarm from my favorite Country music station to a heavy metal station! I awoke to some idiot screaming "yeah, yeah, baby, let's go!" in my ear. DH thought it was funny (until I turned and snarled at him). I HATE that kind of music! Not a good start to my day. Let's hope it get's better fast.

Talk to you all soon. I'm going to go start some laundry. Hopefully the weather will hold today and I can hang it out on the line rather than run the dryer.

Oh, by the way, did anyone else get snow yesterday? Good think I haven't planted my perrenials yet.

Hi Rachel and Jo and the Sleepyheads.

Scooby, sounds like the job change was a great one! Be nice to yourself as you settle in - even good new jobs can be stressful.

Jo, I would have killed the kids. I cannot stand that kind of music - much prefer the little peep my clock gives just before it rings. I seldom need to use it anyhow.

We got snow yesterday and it's still here this morning. However, it's going to be a sunny day and will soon be gone. I am planning to take some pics of red tulips and yellow daffies in the snow.

Today is the day our dog garden fencing "might" come in. Keep your fingers crossed for us. The "girls" love being outside but putting them out on ropes is hard - also, only one dog at a time can be out. Today I hope to plant 5 lilac bushes beside the privacy fence - with tomato cages around them until they get established! DH doesn't know it yet but he is digging the holes for me.

I sure as heck am a carb addict! I tried to be strictly OP yesterday but succumbed to one (really!) chip when at the store, then ate some red licorice and then had two pieces of frozen plain pizza for a mid-afternoon snack! Yes, I also managed to eat dinner. Today there will be none of that! I need to get back OP because summer is a coming in and I want to be in ONEderland by July 1. I'm back up to 210 this morning and I can't blame it on anyone but me!

HAve a good Tuesday, Sweeties.

Good Morning Scooby, Joanne, Ruth and all those to come!

I have a fun filled action packed sort of day ahead of me--the laundry must be done! That's what you get for working ona Monday and nothing in the house getstouched. Why it that when men have a day off it really is one and when women have a day off it's just the day to clean the house? Guess it's one of those mysteries of life....

Scooby, I hope you have a wonderful time at this job, I can already see the smile on your face ready to got to work!

Joanne, that's what you get for having teenagers. I plan on not having any myself. I am keeping my dd strictly at 3 years old because she's really cute now and I knowthat she will just grow up to be obnoxious in her teens. So it isn't happening at my house

Ruthie, fingers and toes crossed for you, poor pups need to run and run and run free without the worry of mum!

Have a great day everyone!

Morning all!

Nice morning, this. Sun's streaming through my east window upping my vitamin D and seratonin levels very nicely! The snow you all got was rain for us -- we're supposed to have one warm day (today) and then back to cold (high in the 50's). But -- as long as the sun shines, I can make do!

Not much to report. In-laws coming tomorrow. Mom will be staying with me for a week while the guys go south -- turkey hunting in MO. She's a peach! I just love her. She's fun and willing to do almost anything (at almost 80 she can still shop until I drop!). We used to take the kids caving north of here and she would keep right up on those hills and valleys. She's one of those people who likes to do everything -- no complaints, no demands -- just looking for the adventure! God, please make me like that when I'm an old woman!

I'm just a little over a week away from my annual girl trip w/my friend from St. Louis. This is the first year we won't be meeting in Quincy, IL (first time in over 10 years). Instead, I'll drive to St. Louis and then we'll drive together to Alton, IL. We'll be staying at a rustic-type hotel in a state park -- lots of quaint towns and shops in close proximity. Her husband is treating us to theather tickets the first night -- Saturday Night Fever. What a guy! I look forward to this trip every year. One year we didn't make it (she had just re-married and couldn't pull herself away from dh!); I was in a bad mood all year!

Hope you're all well!

Good Afternoon Kids,

Boss lady is back so its kinda hard for me to post when she sits only 10 feet from me.....OY VEY...

Ruthie, we fenced in our yard about 3 years ago and its the best thing we've done, Susie can run run run and I don't have to worry, your going to love it, so will the girls (and I don't mean your boobs). The fence is great cause it keeps out the other dogs from the neighborhood that were pooping in our yard. One year we had tons of snow so our neighbors dog, which was the size of a small pony lol, came down and crapped right by my car door because it was the only spot he could find that was close enough and shoveled........what a pleasnt thing to see so early in the morning, and they wouldn't even come down and pick it up...what happened to the pooper scooper law ??? Okay enuf poopie talk.

Well ladies, have a wonderful day and enjoy !

Love, Leens

I'm here..at last!
Trying to get stuff together to do DD room this weekend, get her out of the big one, and us in...don't know exactly when the Inlaws will be here, but I want to be ready!
I've been busy making handmade invites to a shower I'm throwing for a friend. She just got back from Russia Saturday with her beautiful new baby girl. I'm trying so hard not to be jelious and be happy for her, but boy do I feel like the green monstor has attacked me!! We've been trying for almost 5 years now. Yes, I have two, yes, I am insane and want more!! There is 6 years in between my two now. My youngest will be 5 on Friday, maybe six is my magic number??? Of course now would be the perfect time to get knocked up, I could be 6 months prego and try to do my 60 mile walk....see all the 6's there?? Anyway, my DH said he can't even imagine adoption. When I asked if that was our last option how he would feel, he said to ask him again when we get to that point! I just keep saying, God has plans for me, God has plans for me...
I'm off to eat a gallon of cookie-dough icecream now..Blue Bell (for those of you Texans, you know what I mean...ummmm
Just kidding...I'm having nasty fat free pudding with cool whip...can you tell my mood? I normally love pudding!!
Good day all.....

Evening Everyone!

I started this morning, saying morning! then again this afternoon but just never really got here! The little guy is home from school this week. It is nice having just one of them home at a time!

Jenniwookie! Wish I could swat that bug for you! Hope you feel better soon!

Had some excitement here yesterday. The lights dimmed as if we were having a brown out. Dh called the electric company and they replaced some "things" on the line from the house to the pole. BUT! He also pointed out that the reason our cable was out (as in no tv) was because the cable box had been most likely hit by lightning. As in, burned, scorched and hot! Yowser! was I ever grateful to wake up to a new day and all is fixed and life is good!

Ran some errands today, dropped in and saw mom and romped with the boys and got romped by the boys! They have a new game....it is called...Mom, you stand on the deck and we are going to throw kick balls at you and you try to dodge them and get us back! Nice huh? The big kid says, "let's double team her" the little guy smiles, nods and says "yea, lets do the double dweeb!"

They take after their dad, yep, I'm sure!

love you!

Default hi everyone...

a very tired jiffypop here. i've done three consecutive days of 9-hour days [friday, monday, tuesday] plus a few hours on the weekend, freelancing for hte company i interviewed with last week. they've been pleased with me, and i'm still being considered for the job, but i'm not sure they're ready to actually hire.

in the meantime, it's money. and i'm not turning it down. but i'd forgotten how tiring a full day at work can be [or maybe i still have some recuperating to do???? hmmmm an interesting question].

and another company wants to talk with me. and i'm more than willing to talk with them.

Leens.. i haven't forgotten your offer. no phone has really set me behind the 8 ball for a few days.

sympathies to all of you suffering from snow. enough is enough!!! especially with all those pretty flowers around.

oh, and for you canadians, i actually saw a car with license plates from BEAUTIFUL BRITISH COLUMBIA right here in joisy, just a few miles from the Lincoln Tunnel!!!! i thought of you, and wondered what prompted him to show up here and join us all in rush hour gridlock.

scooby... hope the new job is everything you hope. sounds like it's off to a good start

be well, ya'll....
