Default Daily Cluck - Monday Feb. 4

Happy Monday everyone!

Here's another boring puppy story!

Last night, after the kitchen was cleared and I was gearing for an early bed, I picked up Lucy for a cuddle and found her butt, hind legs and tail were soaking wet!
It didn't smell like pee but she is just 3 months old and has had a few accidents although this one seemed major. So gave her a bathe and blew her dry.
As I was cleaning up wet towels, the dryer and the bath mess, I turned around to see little dry fluffy puppy sitting in the big communal water dish! She is a Portuguese Water Dog after all. This explains why her front end was soaked last week!
What can you do but laugh and get more towels and the dryer! And empty the water dish!

Had a great Sunday at the Birthday Brunch although the drive to Ottawa was a real horrorshow! I am a pretty confident driver but was actually nervous. It was better coming home, however. I am afraid Brunch was not OP - pizza and birthday cake! I shared my pizza with Hershey but did eat a small piece of cake. How often does your grand daughter turn 2! I didn't even feel guilty!

Today is a get it together Monday! I am going to start some seeds and give a couple of infested house plants the treatment for spider mites! I still have not figured out where to put a treadmill when we buy one. Darn low basement! I will be walking down for the mail with Hershey today - we both need to get back in shape. A friend of mine is on a walking program and has suggested I join him, He is 6' and does 7 to 10 kilometres a day at 6 a.m. I declined!

I'm sure there are another million things to do today but I haven't noticed them yet!

Have a good Monday!

Good Monday Morning Chickies,

Simple Monday morning here, although I am a bit late. Stayed up for the Super Bowl last night.

CONGRATS TO THE PATRIOTS!

We are a football family and it is a great family get together! Mom bought ribs, wings and veggies (and she is not even a low carber). My brother is in from Washingtons state and on his way to North Carolina for a promotion. I think Superbowl Sunday should be a national holiday. You should hear my mom, she is almost 70 and loves her football, she knows most of the players by name, what a fan.

We called my sister during halftime. She has lost almost all of her hair (I mentioned her on the prayer line), she has gained 12 pounds (she has been a solid 120 for most of her adult life), and she has elevated ANA tests. Her docs are still investigating Lupus but will not commit to a diagnosis. Please remember her in your prayers.

Ruth, love your dog stories. I think you made a wise choice in not joining your friend for a walk.

Sue, hope dh is not grumping around so much, and do be careful while wrapping that delicate area!

Wishing everyone an op day!

YAHOOOOOOOO!!!!! Not because the Patriots won but because I got my period! OK, so it isn't like a huge yahoo for all of you, but when you're trying to get pregnant and it has been MIA since October, it is a cause for celebration! Dh is very happy about it and it just shows me that my program is working and I have to keep at it!

Going to the gym this morning for my first lesson. I have to make this quick since I've got to get out of here. My PT said that I will be doing a lot of circuit training so look out--here I come!

Other than that, no much going on--Ruthie, Lucy is a scream!

Jenny, I will continue to pray for your sister in that they get a speedy diagnosis and a quick recovery!

Have a great one all those to come!

Default Hi ya'll!

A few quick minutes to stop in and say hi! The last couple weeks have been battling the flu and colds around here! I'm almost feeling human again!

Jenny-Continued prayers for your sister.

Ruth-Loved the puppy story!

Pooky-Congrats on joining the gym! I joined one last year--maybe this year I'll actually get to go!

Despite being sick I've managed to stay pretty much OP. Of course doing CAD really has helped! I lived on chicken soup and crackers for only 2 days during the worse of the flu but otherwise able to hang in there! I've had a few comments regarding losing weight as it's showing in my face--It's encouragement, so I'll take it!

Well, I'm off to catch up on some posts! Have a wonderful OP day!

Default Pretty darn quiet around here!!!

Ruth! I love your puppy stories! Don't stop or then I will feel that I should stop the little guy stories! For two days he has been really really worried that he is going to turn into a donkey (Pinocchio) I am being the mature parent and assuring him that it won't happen!...the Jack-*** years only come when little boys turn into husbands..but I did not tell him that!

Jenny! Your super bowl sounds like alot of fun!!!I get a big kick out of your mom...that's how mine is with basketball! Prayers for your sister...hugs for you both!

Pooky! Just typing your name makes me smile! I hope that the gym went well..is your pt a male? is he cute?

HEY JANICE! Feel better soon, cause I miss you!

hi to everyone!

I had a great weekend seeing my not jiff sister! She worked like a dog (no offense to you doggers) at mom's and we got a bit of shopping and eating done and LOTS of YACKING. SHE is a whirlwind of efficiency...well, someone in the family had to get it! NOt jiff would come over every morning for coffee and I really kind of missed her sunny face today!

guess i have yacked enough!
hugs and all that good junk!

Thumbs up Happy Monday, everybody!

Yuck, why does this day live up to it's reputation??? I found out first thing this morning that our "big bosses" (the VP and the CEO, as well as our regional and market managers) were headed over for a visit. Since our company is too cheap to spring for a cleaning service, we had to scramble. Wednesday is usual cleaning day, so it needed freshening up. Well, I was tempted to leave it so they would see WE NEED A MAID. All the other locations in our region have one. What can I say, we are the black sheep of our company, even though we bring in the most revenue! You should have seen my pathetic begging for an assistant last year. At any rate, on top of the regular Monday reports and payroll and commission to enter, and filing to clear up and customer payments to take due to first of the month, etc, etc, etc, we had to clean too. Then, guess what. They came at 4:55 and stayed until 6:00. Locked in an office, on their cell phones, and never even used our phone. We had to stay late and lock up after them, and they weren't even there to talk to any of us that stayed late. MEN! What a crappy day. Okay, sorry for *****ing and moaning so much!

I stayed OP all day, even though I am so ticked off I'm tempted to eat something rich and sinfully bad for me.

I hope you all had a better day than I did, and a wonderful tomorrow!
