This could get lost in the move, but I thought I'd check in anyway. I am going in to the office for a couple of hours this morning, but then have the whole rest of 3 days home to relax. On my list for the long weekend (other than the usual chores,) is to rent a couple of movies, or go to the movies, make a special dinner, buy something nice for myself, and DRINK MORE WATER! I bought a lemon and an orange to slice thin in my nice glasses to make a special ritual out of it at home! Corny, I know. But at work I have a water cooler and big glass, and drink OK. But at home, I tend to go more for the crystal light and tea and coffee, and I want to add more plain water.

We are expecting a snow storm this afternoon, so I expect to just stay in and be cozy later, maybe make some soup! I think the cheeseburger soup is Debkays' recipe- Debkay if you're reading this, I want you to know you have inspired me to try something new in the kitchen!

Not much else new. DH is taking his car in for the 3rd time in a month, I am trying to talk him into a new one- he is softening up!

I'll check in later, here or at our Vacation Coop!

Gee, Dottie, work fast so you can be home before the snow hits! I know you "southerners" can't handle what we would call a dusting. Your cozy afternoon sounds great.

Was going to go to a kick-off breakfast for Habitat for Humanity this morning but decided last night that I am just not ready for an 8 a.m. meeting - especially in the next town. We have been given 3.5 acres and hope to get started on one house this spring. What a worthwhile project. We may call in Pooky to help.

Darn cold here this morning! Took Lucy out and shivered for a while. Then we both decided that we would come in and use the paper. NEVER get a puppy in the winter! Now if Hershey had come into season in May as expected, I'd have this pup all trained by now. RIGHT!

Got on the dreaded scale this a.m. and am up a pound. Think that bowl of salted peanuts DH leaves on the counter could be the problem?

No idea when the move starts this morning but will see you all later or in the Extra Coop.

Talking Good weekend morning, everyone!

Hope these words of wisdom don't get lost when they move the server! I want to have fun today. I am cleaning the house within an inch of it's life and transferring my daughter to a warmer bedroom that's closer to mine. At midnight, when I get done with that I'll be having my first bubble bath since Tommie was born, which is far too long to wait if you ask me!! I may even spring for a new outfit today! What the heck, live it up, right?? Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Saturday to all! Rainy and grey here in Houston.

Any coffee left?

Finally got the attic cleaned out and reorganized. Yes Sooner, I broke down and took the tree down! And I really thought those little Valentine hearts would look so cute! Today I'll hopefully finish going thru the boys closets and making up "memory" boxes for the saveable stuff to get stuffed into my nice clean attic! Oh well, at least it's organized! I want to get all this done this weekend so HOPEFULLY - key word here - dh will have the 2 "formals" repainted and carpeted next week! Once that's done I can move the furniture out of my den in there and FINALLY get my new den furniture!

Ruth-sure wish you could shake that darn cold!

Sue-how's your diet counseling coming along?

good4me-I vote for the bubble bath and new outfit BEFORE all that other stuff!

dottiejon--good luck on the new car! dh just bought a new truck - zero percent interest!

Hope all has a great day!

Hi Everyone!
I'm posting with the knowledge that the move could occur at anytime and blast this post into who-knows-where!

Kel I missed the chocolate chip part too! You're a hoot Ruth! Kel, you ought to post more often. I miss you!

Janice I'm so very, very proud of you! Christmas tree removal is a good thing! Are you listening Sooner? I said, ARE YOU LISTENING SOONER? Your plans for today sound like so much work, but I guess new den furniture will be worth all the sweat, right?

Dottie The cheeseburger soup is good! I make it all the time, but I don't use much cream at all in it. It's just too rich for me if I do. I vary the veggies (green beans are my favorite through) and play fast and loose with the recipe. It's one of my faves! Hope you like it. Oh, and I always put some lime in my water. It's pretty and I love that little bit of well, limeness!

Peach I've been wracking my brains and for the life of me can't figure out what ADS is. Adult Doofus Society? Anyone Drinking Scotch? AdoAnnie's Doing Swell? Enlighten me, oh fuzzy one! I'm feeling a little dense here! A Dense Sicko, maybe? Help! Anyway, missy, back away from the stamps. Just back up and no one gets hurt, okay?

And, for all you snow-getters, send it this way! I want more! More I say, more! Give me a 12 inch dusting!

Have a great one!
Chickadee (who, BTW, has exercised every single, stinkin' day!)

Default Recipes~

On the main page of 3fc, scroll all the way down, to Low Carb, there are 4 or 5 threads for Low Carb Recipes. The cheeseburger soup recipe is under Miscelaneous, and you might have to use the pull down menu to select Show ALL, or Last Year, so old recipes come up.

How was that, Ruth? Think she's be able to find it with my directions?
