Default Newbie/Recommitment Menu Planning

We have a lot of people starting out the various LC plans this week, I thought some menus and tips would help.

If you are new to this WOE (way of eating), you can ask questions or just get feedback on your meal planning. Or just get ideas for basic, everyday eating. I will put menu threads up while Pooky keeps the KICK BUTT BACK motivation thread going.

(I am aiming for less than 60 g. carb perday, spread over the day, like Protein Power, or Atkins)

Breakfast: eggs with brie melted in
Snack: 1/2 grapefruit, 1 or 2 ounces cheese
Lunch: Party at work- chicken, a few slices of salami and cheese, salad if there is any, diet soda
Dinner: out - steak and salad, probably 1 scotch.

Water, water, water. all day!

I really find this helps me plan, and keeps me accountable. As a lot of you know, I am not the best at exercising, so I can't afford a lot of slip ups in my eating- so, planning ahead, keeping protein around, and not letting myself get hungry are critical!

Let's see what you are eating today!

DOH! I put my menu on the kick your butt thread, Oh well, you know this is great to give some much needed info for newbies and those who are finding their way back. It's hard to get started again (trust me, I SO know this!) but there are some good tips. Clean out your system with lots of water and eat lots of protein! And NO MORE DIET SODAS!!! Those things are plan killers and can easily send you back to carb ****! Avoid at all costs! Have a great day everyone!

Saturday Menu!

breakfast- a little oatmeal with milk(I slept at my sister's house, no eggs!)
snack- bologna, ham slices
lunch- double cheeseburger, a little bit of roll, about 1/4th
snack- salami and cheese, peanuts
dinner- lamb, salad, green beans

my goal for today is absolutely no sugar! I have been doing better for the past 3 days, after a long stretch of junk food, and feel like I can do it today. Drinking water, and still some diet soda- I find it helps me in the beginning to have crystal light or diet 7 up for a break. Then I go to all water, but for now, it helps.

how's everyone else doing?

OK Todays' menu is this:

B: 2 turkey patties (tournedos)
L: coffee
D: spaghetti with homemade pesto bread

Drank 4 bottles of water (thus far) and was busy cleaning the house all dy so my activity has increased somewhat. Still need to focus on the dreaded exercise component to my weight loss and I have to spend some time understanding why this is so frustrating to me. All in all, a good day.
