I agree it's the Genie bra's for me right now until I'm "my real size"
|
I am totally convinced that MEN design bras!
Bra shopping, "SUCKS"!!!!!! Dear Bra makers, please consult the people who REALLY buy bras! Catalog models do not need them. Let's get real about bras! I own a ton and hate them all! I own expensive bra's and they still are awful.:?::devil: |
I think you need to go up a cup size. It sounds like there is not enough room for you flesh.

I 100% feel your pain. I used to love my boobs. And now? meh. They make me sad and they make me feel old. I'm actually saving up for a boob job when I hit my goal weight. I don't want any size, just pickem' up and puttem' back where they belong ffs.
Anyhow, I'm a 36F now. I was a 38F at my heaviest. My boobs aren't going anywhere. DH is thrilled. Anyhow, Lane Bryant is the only store that fits me well. VS aren't big enough and everyone else looks like it's for a 89yr old woman. I love the plunge bra at LB. It gives me the best cleavage without the wrinkles. I buy from them when they do their buy2-get2. I'd get refitted - if I were you. Good Luck! |
Well, I'm pretty sure I know for a fact I'm a 34 band because when I put all the 34s on, no matter what, I can only get it to the first hook. It's very likely a 32 wouldn't even close on me, much like when I was trying on 36s vs. 34s. I know I'm not a D, so I think at this point it just depends on how the bra is cut. When I was at VS yesterday, their cotton full-coverage style fit perfectly (in a 34DD), but I couldn't try on in multiple styles because out of the collection I was trying (2 for 49.50), the full coverage was the only style that had my size in the store. I did look at their return policy online, and it looks like I can do returns for online purchases in the store, so I might be making a purchase soon. I can't decide if I should go ahead and get some now, or wait a little bit longer, because I would hate to buy a bunch of new bras only to have them be too small again in a little while.
That's a scary thought; I don't want to get any smaller in the ribcage area. I think I'd look like a skeleton at that point; there's not much there now to begin with. =/ |
I think that when you need a larger cup size...Victoria's Secret is NOT the answer. They will measure you and try to put you into a size that they actually carry. Go to Nordstrom if there's one near you. They will give you a proper fitting and they're honest. If they don't carry the size you need, they will tell you. Victoria's Secret will go up a band size just to put you into one of their bras. Don't despair...I've lost 55 pounds and my cup size hasn't changed! I went from a 40H to a 38H and I'm not thrilled.

According to the store I went to originally, I'd wear a 38AA according to their size chart. Uh, what? |

I can't get bras that fit right anywhere but Victoria's Secret or Nordstrom.
If you haven't been to Nordstrom, try going! Prices are about the same, mostly they only have black and nude stuff (I'm wearing about the same size you do) but they have kinda more "full" shapes, you know, with more material in every direction of the cup to contain all you have in every way the best way ;) Victoria's Secret has way cuter things. But Nordstrom bras fit a whole lot better. Worth a try! :) |
Wow, I guess I best consider myself one of the lucky ones, in the fact that I love that my boobs went bye bye!:D
At the beginning of my weight loss, at 185lbs, my chest measured 40 inches (top B/low C). I could only really wear the sport type (stretchy material) bras, cause my boobs had no fullness in the top area, so I just didn't have enough to fill the cups and they fit horribly. So I just went for smooshed and tight!;) Fast forward to today (chest measures 30") and I no longer have bra issues...mostly cause I really don't need one!! Yep, I'm happily down to 34A or 32A, depending on the bra. I pretty much only wear a bra if I'm wearing a light colored top. But the best part is, that due to being consistent with doing incline chest presses, my peck muscles have increased my upper breast fullness and the loss of fat has removed the heaviness, so I no longer have the problem with sagging, like I used to.:cloud9: |
Update:
I went bra shopping again today. I'm a 34DDD, like some of you suggested and I refused to believe, lol. This confuses the CRAP out of me because my measurements don't add up. If I measure around my ribcage, I come to 33", give or take maybe a quarter inch each time. Here lately, measuring around my bust yields a 37. That's a 34D, last time I checked, right?? How the heck did I end up with a DDD? |
Are you measuring over your bust leaning forward, with or without a bra? Either way trying on bras is generally the best way (when you know what to look for) to go and measurements are a guide as different brands fit differently.
