I have thought about getting one for this cute chain link sweater dress I found but haven't found one yet.

Assetts (a less expensive version of SPANXS) are sold at Target in the panty hose aisle. Look for the light blue packages hanging on the wall. The high waisted bike short version runs about $17. I love this plus the high waisted footless leggings. I wear one or the other EVERY day, and wouldn't get dressed without them. They're very comfortable. I even exercise in them! Once you have it on, you don't even know it's there. Thank God for SPANKS!

I wear mine at work when I wear a dress. It makes me feel a lot more confident - usually with dresses I feel very unsupported, and the shapewear helps a lot. I got mine from target (whatever brand was on sale) and it's awesome.

I want to try the bike short ones under a dress that you ladies wrote about but does it look like you have 2 separate legs (lol) under your dress? And you put them over your tights/nylons? I just don't want to look like I have 2 sausages under my dress/skirt lol.

I'm so glad to have this forum to ask these questions to. I have no one in real life I can ask about sausage legs.

I've never been able to see a difference in my legs in a dress when wearing them.

Definitely wear them under dresses. I don't care for the one piece/bodysuit shapewear. It's a struggle pulling them down when you have to go to the bathroom.
