I've been a nail biter my whole, entire life. Since . . forever. This past summer my daughter was doing really cool things with her nails (marbleizing, painting things on them, just fun stuff) and one day I looked at her nails and realized that I was jealous that my stubs were stubs. So cold turkey I stopped. That was in August. They grew out but were weak and of course, they broke. But I stuck with it (didn't let the set-backs of breakage deter me) and started using polishes/clear coats, etc. In October I started taking 1,000 mg. of biotin everyday, in addition to a multi-vitamin. It's suppose to help w/hair and nail health/growth. My nails used to be pretty 'bendy'; now they're much, much stronger . . . especially when I use the Triple Strength.

My nails are fabulousss!!!! The best undercoat I've found is Sally Hanson's Triple Strength. Makes them strong and helps to really protect them. I use Burt's Bee's lemon cuticle cream, Sally Hanson's miracle nail growth (I use this on my bare nails). Generally use Sally Hanson or Revlon (LOVE Revlon ), two coats, then a top coat.

Do you know how to fix a break so you don't lose the whole nail? Super glue and tea bags! Youtube it . . IT WORKS. I've fixed several broken nails and the fix can stay until the break grows out. And the more you do it the better you get at the repair process.

I look at my pretty nails and think 'he11, if I can do this there is no reason that I can't lose the weight I want to as well'. Helps keep me motivated!!

I've only got about 22 bottles of nail polsih but with the exception of one or two, ALL were bought on sale and with coupons. CVS had a 75% off sale on Revlon and Sally Hanson a few weeks ago. I think I bought half my total then. lol Target's website frequently has Sally Hanson and/or Revlon coupons on it (Target coupons - scroll alll the way down their main page, it's a small linky at the bottom). If you have a mfg coupon you can stack them at Target. Also, Giant grocery stores carries Revlon and they put them on sale for 40% or 50% off sometimes. Again, you can use a mfgr. coupon on top of the sale.

CVS is having 50% to 75% on specially marked cosmetics starting tomorrow; Giant has Revlon cosmetics (including nail polish) $2 off starting tomorrow and there's a $1 off coupon in Sundays paper.

There was a time, lol...I've got mine down to about 20, maybe 15 but some are repeats. I've learned when I find a polish I love to get at least 2 bottles so...but, your collection looks a bit like my daughters, she took over my obsession, lol. thinking she has about 100 or a little more.

Oh, almost forgot...love the nifty shelf, that is what the daughter needs!

I am a makeup/nail polish junkie! Its almost an obsession <3 but it feels so good to try out a new look or paint my nails a new color. So refreshing! P.s I need those racks, where can I find those? They look fancy

Me too! I'm looking for a nice grey/lavander shade. I keep mine short too, I tried to grow them out, and it just makes me crazy.
