So, did any of you guys lose a shoe size when you lost weight? I'm just wondering because I always hear about people wearing smaller shoe sizes after losing a significant amount of weight.
I measure a 7.5 in women's shoe sizes, but my feet are so wide I usually wear an 8.5-9. If I were to lose 150 pounds, would I finally be able to wear a 7.5?
I wore a size 8/8.5 when I graduated from high school. Now I'm in an 8.5/9 (or bigger b/c I'm currently pregnant). I'm about 15-20 pounds heavier than when I graduated (pre-pregnancy). I wonder if my feet will shrink back down too, or if being pregnant twice has permanently changed their size.

My mother and my friend both lost a significant amount of weight and both went down a half size in shoes. I haven't noticed a difference, and I'm not quite sure if I will. I guess I'll find out once I get to goal.
My friend is particularly upset because she had quite a lot of shoes
I've lost 40 pounds so far. One day I noticed that my size 9s were wayyy too big. I've worn 9s for as long as I can remember, but apparently not anymore. I went and tried on shoes, and it turns out that I now wear an 8, and in some things I got a 7.5 on comfortably. I'm still not ready to go and buy all new shoes yet though. I think I'm scared that it's a fluke. Also, I broke my foot in January, and now both of my feet have been broken in almost the same place. I wondered if that could have anything to do with the size changes. I dunno..but I hope my feet continue to shrink lol.
I started out a 13W at ~400 lbs and now can wear 11 open toe or 12 closed toe. I am hoping to go down to a straight 11 when I hit goal weight. Try buying women's size 13 wide - it ain't easy. And I'm only 5'8!!!!
I still wear a size 11. It is time to replace my athletic shoes. I don't know if I have went down 1/2 size or if they are just worn. I'm thinking they are just worn. I am thinking about going to the shoe store this weekend. I will update after I get measured again. If I have went down it's only 1/2 size at most and I lost almost 150 pounds!
When I was pregnant my shoe size did not go up HOWEVER my width changed. It went from a narrow to a medium. I was actually happy because a medium width is easier to shop for. It stayed that way even when the weight came off. Hope this helps.
My shoe size, previous to gaining all my weight, was 9 women's. I went up to a 10 with my last pregnancy almost 6 years ago (twins). I now fit into a 9.5 after losing 102lbs. I might just get back into a 9, but shoe size doesn't concern me- only clothing size.
