I have bought a strapless jumpsuit to wear out this weekend but I am having huge trouble finding a good supportive strapless bra to wear with it. There is NO WAY I could get away without wearing one but I need one that I am not likely to fall out of. The trouble is I have quite big boobs and the ones in the shops only seem to go up to a 38D!! I need a 40E!! Could anyone recommend either a bra that they have used or somewhere I am likely to get one. Thankyou xxx
Try the usual places for larger bras: Bravissimo (good range, and reviews up on the site, but hugely overpriced, and likes to give bras different names in the hope that you won't just hunt them down cheaper on the internet), Brastop, eBay. eBay is absolutely crawling with reputable lingerie sellers who are running a proper shop, and the prices are fantastic.
I haven't worn a strapless in years, but I can generally recommend Panache bras for those of us who are larger-bosomed. They're beautifully designed, look good under clothing and on their own, you can get low-cut bras, and the sizing is very consistent. Once you know your size in a Panache bra, the vast majority of them will fit you (and a quick call to Brastop or similar can check if a particular model is running large or small, a very few do), so after that you can just order them online and rarely have to return anything. Even with the postage, it's still hugely cheaper than buying them in a store.
Thankyou very much ladies for all of your replies...I am now going to start trawling the internet for panache and go to m&s website. I have to be able to go instore to buy though unless they can deliver next day if I buy online.
Thanks again
You probably can get next day delivery, although of course then it might not fit. Worth ringing various lingerie shops for a chat, though? And do you have any decent lingerie shops in Sheffield? I went all over Edinburgh looking for a strapless bra once, back in the days when I was a slim 32DD, and after going to every department store in town and learning oodles about how I should fit myself for a bra, eventually found one in one of those little lingerie shops staffed by old ladies who are "born in the bosom", as my mother puts it.
We have quite a few decent lingerie shops here and luckily for me most of them are all in one place ( meadowhall) so I think it may be a day trip out tomorrow hunting for " The one"!! Lets hope I mange to find one that will stay put...if not some toupee tape may be required

GO TO ADDITIONELLE. their strapless bras are amazing. i bought 40E (DDD) they are so amazing. i have dropped almost 70 lbs, and still able to wear them even though my bra size is now a 36DD, because they are so flexible. they are pricey, but its a great investment peice!
Bit of a trek from the north of England, though, isn't it?
niknaknat, it may be worth looking at the Bravissimo bra fitting guide, to save time when you're bra-shopping tomorrow. Unless you already know all that stuff, in which case ignore me.
