Be careful, ladies. Studies are showing that the chemicals in sunblock can cause skin cancer.

I've been hearing that too, Alice. It's all very confusing. Use this to prevent skin cancer, yet it turns around and increases your risk?? ::sigh::

BTW, I've been using Jafra 40 spf on my face and No Ad 30 spf on my body whenever I go out. But I do have the problem of not reapplying. I have also been using Amalactin (sp?) lotion a few times a week on my skin before going to bed, and have been washing my face with Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap whenever I shower. That site someone suggested told me to try the lowest dosage of Retin-A which I will be getting next month. My skin seems to look better already ... well, except under bathroom lights. Those lights are so mean. lol.

I absolutely love Dr Bronner's soaps. They are organic and free of nasty chemicals. No reason what so ever you should change that as your cleanser. However... and this is a big one you NEED moisturiser! I personally wouldn't use sun screen every day. I think it can be too much of a good thing, and we do need some rays for general well being. That doesn't mean you should never wear it though!
I believe in keeping things simple, and I am wrinkle free at 33 so so far so good.
There is no need imo to spend loads of money on products, as you are mostly paying for marketing and packaging. I would always go with a cruelty free, organic, sulphate and paraben free option, which doesn't have to cost more than the rubbish that gets advertised on the TV.

Exfoliating is great a few times a week as well. You can easily make your own with either sugar or salt and some oil, or use a couple of aspirin if your skin can tolerate the chemical exfoliation from them.

Happy to hear you are seeing improvements already!

Thank you, timkerbelle! I might try mixing some salt with my magic soap for an exfoliate.

Wow, lots of good advice here! Thank you to all who contributed! i will tell you what i do in case it helps a bit. i am 35 but i WILL get carded if i go and try to drink without my Husband. i hear that i'm young looking a lot, maybe people are just trying to be nice LOL!!

i wear sunscreen when i'm going to be in the sun, not everyday. i moisturize under my makeup on the days my skin feels dry, usually about 3x/week. i moisturize at night as often as i remember, probably in reality about 2x/week. i use minimal makeup (just what i like) and i buy clinique. The night time moisturizer is oil of olay i bought at dollar general LOL! On days i dont' feel like using makeup i don't. i usually use the apricot scrub about 2x a week or a similar product, but if i run out, i will go a few weeks without. i can't use anything EVERYDAY, or i will be too greasy, too dry, too something, so i try to even it out.

i think the key is to not get too caught up in pricey and to err on the side of moisturize. i have never heard of anyone having bad skin from too much moisturizer
