I like the top a lot. The ruching is hot, and I like the denim. I hate that it's a onesie shorts looking thing. I would only wear if if I had the youthfulness in the face to pull it off, in addition to the body.

I see so many women outside walking around with hot bodies wearing clothes that teenagers often wear, and then it's kind of a shock to see how old their faces look. Woman--hot body, with Pink across her butt, or a short dress on, then she turns around, and it's such a huge difference between her body, what she's wearing, and her face!

I vote yes even though I'm old. I like the idea of a little cardigan to dress it up a bit, but if you're just having a fun day shopping or hanging out...why not. I think it's cute and I don't see it as an age-specific item.

I'm 30 and I would absolutely wear it. But unfortunately my initials aren't SJP and I'm not an uber stylish show called Sex and the City and my legs just aren't skinny enough

How tempting. The top part is very flattering. The ruching would be very forgiving to any slight bumps & rolls in the midsection and the two parallel vertical strips of material are visually slimming. This would be a completely different type of outfit if the top part were perfectly smooth & skintight, and really so much harder to get away with.

I'm older than you, so I wouldn't wear it because of the emphasis on the bare neck & throat. Since I lost weight, that's the part of me that gives my age away. Even though I stayed out of the sun & do not have the sun damage that some women get in that area as they age, there's a slight stringyness in my neck & I am starting to get the fine horizontal lines, too, so I'm careful about drawing a lot of attention to it.

I wouldn't wear it. To me, "young" clothes work better if they are whimsical, not sexy, and they also work better if a woman is a bit older than you are: someone at 50 wearing a sundress made for a 20 year old is saying "I don't care what you think, I like it"; someone at 35 wearing the same sundress can appear to be saying "Please think I am 20, I'm embarrassed to be 35", if that makes any sense.

Eh, I'm still thinking the land of children's fashions. In the circles I run in, that's what it is. Sorry.

I don't run with Sex in the City people. I run with school kids at school, church people at church, "errand people" while running errands at the bank, post office, etc.

I don't dress like my elder buddies at 75-90. But neither do I dress like my 6 year old.

To me 35 is a young woman, but emphasis on woman. It possible to dress "fun" at this age, but I just can't get into this look.

I see this

and just think this.

When my kid was 3 she had one a lot like the pink one that woman on top is wearing.

I dunno. I guess for me I can't get past the idea that this look would infantilize me. But whatever... that's my own deal in my location and circles of fashion.

If you are happy wearing the denim one with a cardigan thingie -- go for it! I get the impression that perhaps your circles of fashion are different so it could work there.

GL!
A.

I think "rompers" are unattractive. If you disagree and feel good in it, regardless of age, WEAR IT!!!

Astrophe, I like your post.

I wear rompers occasionally, but only around the house when I need something quick and easy to put on. Like when I'm doing housework, or exercising. I don't wear them out--unless it's Halloween, and I'm dressed as a child. Done that.

However, anyone old enough to be told they're too old to wear something, is bloody well old enough to wear what they want. I remember my ex-husband's mother telling me I was too old for the Laura Ingalls double braid look, and I was 19 at the time. I'm 45 now and I still wear my hair like that. My answer is, if Willie Nelson isn't too old for double braids, I'm darn sure not.

I say if you can pull it off and you like it...RUN WITH IT!! If I had the body for it I may wear it to the park, picnic, or family reunion. **** no telling what I will find myself wearing when I get to goal. Looking at myself now, I'm subject to try some risky things when I get to goal!!!

I wouldn't buy it, because I think they're going to be a very short-lived trend, and whenever I see them on celebrities (because I don't know anyone who wears them), they're in such an awful fabric or they've got a terrible cut and I don't like them.

But summer's coming up, and if you put one on, and think you look cute, go for it.

Quite frankly, I would not wear it. It looks to me like something Sarah Jessica Parker would wear as Carrie on Sex And The City - and I thought her outfits were just plain awful and kinda slutty.
Sorry. Just my 2 cents.

I think if u have the body for it go for it! 35 is young! I also agree with the pairing it up with the sweaters or jackets. I also think pairing it with some cute heels could make it less "childish" i think the denim and belt make it look more grown up as well. But whats wrong with wearing something cute that may look a little childish? As long as you arent wearing jelly sandals with it I think youre good! lol

It kinda reminds me of the rompers I used to wear as a kid in the 80's so I wouldn't personally want to wear them now lol

If you like it go for it If someone would walk by me with one on I probably wouldn't be paying much attention unless the whole picture was worthy of People of Walmart
