When I was larger my store of choice was JC PENNEY. A few days ago I spent the day alone and went to the mall. I went into Penney's and after only a few minutes of shopping I thought to myself, "GAG! I don't want to wear this stuff." I went back down the mall to Chicaholic and Express. I also love Banana Republic. Every now and again, I head to Kohl's but I am finding myself in the JR. section more and more there.

ETA: Schumeany, I just read your post. OMG, I just bought and Inc. halter top that is wayyyyy adorable last week at Macy's. At first I told myself no, because it $59 and full-priced. But I just thought I looked too cute to let it go. LOL. I also so know what you mean about appearing as if you are "trying too hard." I try to balance it with all my years of not trying hard enough. Hehehehe.

Was so glad to get out of sweat pants and the elastc waist slacks.
I kind of went overboard buying pants. I got a lot of capris, jeans and walking shorts at Kohl's and some at Tuesday Morning. I love going to the closet and knowing I can put on a pair of pants that fit and will not make me look like a sausage.

I really look forward to wearing shorts. I am very self-concious of my thighs. I wonder at what weight, they will cease to bother me. My legs don't rub together anymore when I walk I have recently noticed. That must be a good sign!

I normally shop at walmart and haven't really invested in alot of clothes once i hit my size 4. But this year, i really hope to do that. But seeing as how i'm not at my goal weight anymore but working towards it...going to be hard to go shopping when i get my income taxes back next month. I think i'll put money on gift cards at places like jc penny's, target and maybe cato's. I've always liked the clothes i've seen advertised in these stores. I definately need more pants, some new jeans (i only have one pair in each size from 4-8)and some new blouses.
