Default Sugaring for hair removal.

Hi girls,
well i've seen a thread here about brazillian waxes and how you spend money and time to have that area hair free.Well here in my country and most of eastern countries we use a method call sugaring which also removes hairs from the roots its very painful just for the first and the second time but then you wont feel the pain.
those of you with sensitive skin i wouldn't advice you to use it and also i place a mirror in frond of me to be able to see
Also there are some precautions you MUST do to prevent getting an infection down there which is'nt gonna be a pleasent thing
1. I take i tablespoon of Detoll and mix it with 100 mls of water and wash the area and dry it very well before hair removal
2.After i finish removing hair i wash it with a feminine wash like Cyteal and dry it throughly and apply an antibiotic cream like Fucidin for the next three days .

The ingredient i use are.
6 tablespoons of sugar and 3 tablespoons of water.you put them in a saucer pan and heat them on the stove and put 5 dps of lemon oil and keep stirring with the spoon until it boils then lower the heat and keep on stirring then turn of the heat.
Take a porcelain plate and lightly wet it and put the mixture on it .leave it to cool a bit then when you can hold it with your hands you'll find it feels like a peice of gum all strechy and stuff this is when you can use it.
the first time i did this i placed the mix with a spatula on a little area and placed a peice of paper on it and snatched it.Now since i'm more of an expert i pull it with my hand in time you'll learn what suits you.

I just posted this thread to help you girls like me out there suffering from hair in this area cuz i hate it and i hate shaving more cuz the hair is back in less than a day.i also use sugaring on my underarms .
Any questions i'll be more than happy to answer.

Thats really interesting- thanks for sharing! So it`s like waxing- only with a taffy-like mixture. I can see how it would work. Now if I only had the guts to do it-lol.

Oh man, I used a sugaring method on my legs once and I seem to remember it being painful -- can't even imagine it on my bikini line! How long does it take before the hair grows back after sugaring?

lol you see if you tried a second time on your leg by then you wouldn't feel the pain. Its just that everything at first is so hard and painful even excercising lol.As to your question the first time i did it it lasted like 3 weeks now its 5 weeks but it depends on the person. Results may vary lol.

I've had my eyebrows sugared once at the salon. And it didnt hurt at all (of course, the nerves could be dead from all the waxing I've done to them, lol)

I have a question about sugaring/waxing your bikini area...

Do you trim first if you have never done so?

I would definitely trim. Just a bit, don't go too short, otherwise you'll end up with missed patches where the sugar didn't get a grip. If the hair is too long, sometimes it will just break instead of come out from the root.

I use this method a lot, though I only recently started making my own a few months back (I got poor lol). It only lasts for about 2-3 weeks for me..down there, but on my underarms, I'm generally hair free for a good month. ^_^

I'll have to try this on my legs, and maybe armpits as well. I don't shave my legs (I wax at home) because my skin is terribly sensitive and if I shave, my skin would itch like crazy (no matter what I sladder on afterwards).

My issue with shaving my armpits (shaving doesn't bother me there at all) is since I am right-handed, I always have a stubble in my right armpit the next day. I am unable to shave my right armpit as well as the left one. It is really annoying!!

I am getting my 2nd Brazilian on Thursday. I have to say it was not too bad at all - there were spots where it was not pleasant but it was no real pain, and it was over quickly. I think in the future I will have to extend the interval by one more week - we will see how it goes. Maybe I will try sugaring down there as well but one would have to be a contortionist to get it removed in all areas. ;-)

Sugaring or waxing, the principle is the same. You rip the hair out by the roots.

Either one lasts just as long - about 3 weeks or so. Some people a little more, some a little less.

I've looked into it, but it's expensive here, and I am quite happy with my waxer.

I may have to try at home methods, my wax lasts about two weeks. With some touch up I can extend it out to three I think, but no way I'll make it to the four recommended by my waxer. Don't know if I can afford to get waxed every two weeks.. .

Shannon - I've found that mine do start lasting longer. I have been getting waxed for a little over a year now and at this point I really can make it 4 weeks with a little touchup.

At first I would still wait the 4 weeks, but there was a lot more growth earlier on. Now it's finer and lighter and there just seems to be less of it.

does someone help you with your underarms? One of the benefits of my weightloss is that I cannot give myself a good pit shave any more. (also, TMI but in this thread maybe not..-- so itchy under my arms all the time now. not just after shaving)

I'm wondering if it would be better or worse if I tried self-waxing or sugaring. I already have the wax. It's sally hansen, non wax, washes off, and I like to use it on my arms prior to short sleeve weather.

thoughts?

Found an interesting video on YouTube about sugaring. I think I might try this.

This *is* work safe, btw. It says "brazilian" in the title, but there's no nudity.
