Was that super random or did I miss something? lol

I kinda didn't notice what forum I was posting in. As you may be able to tell I prolly don't spend a lot of time on beauty tips. Not that there's anything wrong with it.

Carry on, chickies! :D

I think she meant that Italian grandmas have mustaches.

They're very light but I can see them! I know they're there! And I waxed for years and years and no, they never got lighter and they never stopped coming in like they said would happen. Liars!

They aren't liars. :)

In most cases, when you wax or pluck a certain area repeatedly over the course of time, it starts to damage the hair follicle. This is why some women who "overpluck" their eyebrows for years have trouble growing them back if they want to later on.

Wax...I get it done when I get my eyebrows done and chin too!

I use nair, but it only lasts for a few days.

I have PCOS therefore I had a rather thick and dark 'tash. (I wet through an unfortunate stage off trying to save it off...bless!)

I saved and got in lasered off , but that is the extreme option, my mum has bleached hers for years and years and you can't notice it...

Laser has been incredible for me. Facial hair is now a non-issue, and it is glorious to not worry about it anymore! Yeah for laser...I wish I had done it years ago.

Is lasering expensive? I also use one of those bikini shaver sticks. I used to get my eyebrows and lip waxed but gave up on it.

I pluck the upper lip and use Neet on my chin (but have to be careful because if I leave the Neet on too long I get little chemical burns: after I wipe off the Neet I slather on some Noxema to try to counteract)

I wax when I have like some event to attend, but I usually use nair bc Waxing is so damn painful!

Just a note of caution - if you are thinking of going for laser, please please do your homework first and make sure you go somewhere reputable.

I paid a whole lot of cash for laser treatment over a long period of time. One day, it all went wrong and my face got burned, the burn got infected and it wasn't pretty. I have been left with a permanent scar and had to have scar treatment over a period of months to reduce its size. The scar is the only thing that has been "permanent" about the experience - once I stopped getting the treatment done, the hair all came back. I now get it waxed and find less hair grows in each time.

I appreciate I have just had a really bad experience so don't want to put anyone off going for this option - just choose carefully!

I got scared when I noticed no one else talking about bleach..
I have a pretty unnoticeable 'stache, just making it's appearance at the corners of my mouth. I've waxed once before & tried plucking but both were unpleasant & grew back rapidly. I was looking at maybe getting a good bleach & leaving it at that? After all, it wouldn't cost all that much & would serve my needs for quite some time, right?

I'm Greek. Hair is part of our curse. :)

Over the years, I've Naired/waxed/tweezed/threaded/bleached/prayed/etc. but it's still always there. Either the treatment burns my skin or makes me break out, or three days later I've just stray black hairs I've got to pull. Bleh.

I hate it. So, I made a deal with myself that I would start laser hair removal when I reached my first major goal (getting to 200 pounds). I just had my first session at my derma's about a week ago, and it wasn't bad. Fingers crossed it works!
