Default Shopping is fun again!

Holy cow. I just went into Target on my lunch hour today - I was looking for one specific t-shirt they had advertised on sale. Anyway, I end up trying on an armload of stuff and buying, well... I'm not gonna admit how much.

It has been so long since I could walk into a store, confidently pull something off the rack and make my way to the fitting room. It used to be I'd find the largest size I could and think "i wonder if this will fit" now I grab my size and think "I wonder if this style will suit me." Wow.

OK, anyway, I needed to share. Have a great day everyone!

That's awesome, I can't wait for that feeling! I don't mind shopping as much, but I still don't like it yet.

Last week I discovered that I could shop in the regular sizes. Granted it is the x-large end of the regular sizes but it was SOOOOOO much fun going shopping. Last night I had to buy a new shirt because the one I was wearing wasn't appropriate for the restaurant I was going to. I walked into K-Mart grabbed six shirts that looked appropriate. They all fit and I had to make up my mind which one I would buy. It was GREAT! and AMAZING to me. The best part about getting to be this size and smaller, is that I can go to the smaller shops in town and I have all kinds of choices for clothes not just Wal-Mart. I HAVE CHOICES! It's so cool! Can't tell I'm excited can you?

Amarie2pt0--I can TOTALLY relate to your experience!

I just wanted to say ROCK ON! It's great when you have more options and can happily opt for what STYLE suits you best as opposed to what will fit and simply hide the fat. Congrats!

me too--- it feels so good don't it--- i can feel good about shopping again---its been like a year and a half since it felt this way---but now it seems like everytime i go i'm another pant size smaller--- the best feeling is trying on stuff and realizing that you arent that far off of your goal--- sure i have another 10 to get to prepregancy and another 30 to get to where i really want--- but hey i can fit into my prepregnancy jeans soon---

Watch out ... shopping is non-caloric satisfaction nearly as addictive as Pringles (TM).
Seriously though, great progress. I too recently discovered there was a mall attached to the department store

Yay. I know that's such an awesome feeling! I love going clothes shopping now and knowing I can go into any store at the mall and find something that fits.

Huge congrats to you and thank you for sharing! It is truly an exhilerating feeling, and think of it this way: maybe you overspent on this tip, but for how many years did you avoid shopping and buying new and stylish things for yourself?

So shop on, you deserve it!

I totally love this! Just a few month ago I would buy things because they fit, now I can choose based on taste. It makes such a HUGE difference!!
