Default strech marks eveywhere on my body

i've just got strech marks pretty much everywhere on my body. It's just totally disgusting and I feel ugly and don't want to show my body to anyone. I got them on the thighs, the belly, the hips, the legs, the breasts...it's just crazy.

i weigh about 200 pounds.

It gets better!!

Try Bio-Oil. You can buy it at RiteAid or Walgreens if you're in America. Boots sells it if you're in Europe.

It works really really well. I noticed a difference within 48 hours of using it. You have to use it for several months, probably. But a little bit goes a long way - and it really does work wonders. My entire upper thigh was covered in marks from my knees to my hips last summer. As soon as I got home this summer the first thing my neighbors noticed when I headed out to the gym was how much better my legs looked. The marks are completely gone.

As for the ones on my hips go, they're still there, but they're white and faded dramatically now.

Good luck, and hang in there.

Is the bio-oil good for older stretch marks?

I've had stretch marks on my chest since like 4th grade.. and some on my stomach too. The ones across the chest bother me the most because they really show.. I heard about bio-oil.. but were the stretch marks you had fairly new?

Yep - the ones on my legs were newer. The ones on my hips I've had for... ohhh, about as long as I can remember... It helped them a lot too. Tanning also helped me a bit for the ones on my breasts - but I really cannot recommend Bio-oil enough. It may not work for everyone - but it's definitely worth a shot.

Hmm.. okay.. Thanks! the people who told me about it never tried it.. they just heard about it on the news. To hear from someone who used it.. well I'm sold.
It's not that expensive anyway so hey even if it just diminishes it a little, I'll be happy.

I've had luck in the past with Strivectin-SD. I had new stretch marks on my hips (due to weight gain ) and I put Strivectin lotion on them 2-3 times a day for a few months. They practically disappeared. If I look really really close, I can still see a whisper of them -- I'm happy with the results.

I don't know how well it works on old stretch marks. And it's pricey -- I think I paid about $80 for a large bottle. You can buy it at Sephora I think.

Anyone else know how Strivectin-SD works on old stretch marks?? I'd love to see the ones on my hips improve much more.

Jellydisney - How long did the large $80 bottle last you?

I think it lasted about 2-3 months. It was the only bottle I had to buy.

There are some reviews of Strivectin here:

http://www.beauty-product-reviews.com/Reviews/67.html

The reviews are mixed, but some of the people are using it on wrinkles instead of stretch marks. Sounds like the product works best on stretch marks.

I use Strivectin as well and it works on my VERY old and very dark stretch marks.

A year ago I used Strivectin on some old stretch marks from the birth of my daughter 12 years ago. They didn't completely disappear, but they got to the point where I can wear a two-piece bathing suit, and they are so faint that nobody would notice.

I have more recent marks on my thighs and breasts from my weight loss, and the stuff is working on those too. It just takes a while, and a lot of persistence, but it WILL get better.

....deedee....
