We went to Prime Outlets at Birch Run in Michigan this weekend and I did not step foot in a cosmetics store ... which is a good thing. While we were away, I got my Avon order, a couple of things from Mary Kay and I won a couple of Smash Box shadows on ebay. I also have one of those sample kits coming ... Oi! what fun!

What a great thread.
I used to use bare minerals till my daughter turned me on to MAC studio fix. Love it. Put it on with the pad, then use a brush over that. I also love their under eye concealer.

One thing I could not live without is GREEN CREAM..a great wrinkle killer. I sent some to my daughter who gets occasional break outs and she just loves it too.

Bumping this thread for other Makeup Addicts!!!

Another makeup addict here. I love the stuff!!! I've used MAC for about 3 years now, and it is still wonderful. Though MAC is pricey, it's great for my complexion. I'm a dark-skinned Black woman and many companies are not great matches for my skintone. Everything MAC offers has worked wonderful on my skin. I LOVE their brushes, eyeshadows, and foundations. Some of my favorite MAC products: Fix+ Spray, Studio Fix powder and liquid foundation, liquid concealer, Plum Dressing eyeshadow, Black Tied eyeshadow, Amber Lights and Bronze eyeshadows, and their strippling and large powder brushes.

Bare Escentuals is a new find, but I love their foundation and primer. I pretty much use BE foundation exclusively now. It's so light, yet provides GREAT coverage. It also lasts the entire day, and is simple to apply.

I hope to order a second BE foundation in the complementary color for my complexion, as well as more stuff from MAC and Sephora. I'm also going to order some EverydayMinerals soon. I believe the bismuth in BE had made me itch; its nothing terrible, but I would love to be itch-free. LOL

I looooovvveeee Bare Minerals. It is the only make up that hasn't made me break out. It has actually improved my skin 10 fold. It is light enough and coveres beautifully. I could never wear liquid foundation because 1. I am pasty, 2. it would cake, 3. I live in a very hot climate

I haven't featured out with other powder foundations because I fear it will not live up to Bare Minerals. I also love their lip plumpers (which a long a time ago I said I would never wear it). Their lip plumpers feel great and feel like mint.

Yeah makeup...I actually went to Sephora tonight It was my treat for 20lbs gone for good. I totally swear by Sephora, not only do they have a huge variety but they have a nice knowledgable staff....and you've got to love the no hassle returns and free samples.

Anyway, I am a MAC fan as well. Love the eye shadow, lip glass, blush, eye primer and brushes.

Foundation right now is the Sephora brand powder foundation in a compact. I wanted something quick and easy for summer. Before that I was using MAC.

Mascara I use Stila...cheap and effective

As for the mineral makeup I had a lot of problems with it, I tried several different brands including BE and sheercover and had a lot of irritation especially if I would get hot. I've got pretty sensitive skin though.

Skin care wise I love Philosophy! I used to swear by Mary Kay (I was a consultant) but once they moved towards more anti-aging products I started to have problems. I was bummed

I also love mineral makeup. It is the only makeup I have used for seven years and I have no plans to use anything else. I admit to being a little addicted to collecting colours. I have more eye colours and blush than I could use in three lifetimes and I still buy more.

The only "drugstore" cosmetic I use is Loreal mascara. They make the best mascara, IMO. And the price is good, too.

I used to looove Philosophy. But it just isn't in my budget, right now. *sigh* Purity cleanser is the best cleanser on the face of the Planet. And I miss it, terribly. I have been using St. Ives Elements for cleansing and Neutrogena moisturisers. They are working pretty well. But I really want to go rob a bank so that I can stock up on Philosophy, again.

I'm a MAC girl for their foundation and eye liners. My eyes water like crazy and that stuff just doesn't budge. LOVE it. For my mascara and eye shaddow I love Clinique. For everything else, I'm an off-the-shelf girl =)

Ohhh, also have a great primer from Sephora.

Oh I wish I could wear all the things you ladies are talking about. I swear I'm allergic to everything. Bare Essentials makes me itch like nothing else (it's the bismuth) and I try to avoid certain chemicals as well. So I'm limited as to what I can wear. I have yet to find any good brands. I'd love suggestions! I used to love makeup before I started developing skin problems.

Also, has anyone seen the Skin Deep Database? It's great if you are concerned about the level of toxicity in products. It's at cosmeticsdatabase.com. I've had good luck finding haircare products through their lists that don't aggravate my scalp.

I'm allergic to darn near every kind of mascara; as a result I've been going and getting my eyelashes dyed at a salon every month and a half. It's only $15, it's lasts 6 weeks, and no allergic reaction. Any one else tried this?

My kind of thread. I'm a Professional Airbrush & Makeup Artist, I do weddings, film, television, prom, special effects..you name it. I absolutely love what I do, and I love how creative you can be with makeup application.

I think my new favourite brand has got to be Everyday Minerals. Their brush (flat top) is incredible for $10.00, it buffs in your concealer or foundation great and their mineral foundation is awesome. I use the airbrush foundation for clients unless otherwise requested, but for myself I use minerals. Find it much more breathable compared to liquid or creme.

Add me to the BE group. I looooooove all of their stuff. I don't wear a lot of makeup at all, but when I do, I find that theirs gives me the beset coverage with the least amount of fuss.

I get the mineral make up from Avon. I really like it, but have never tried BE to know if its on par with that. The daughter of one of my best friends just started selling Avon, so I get an order from her about every other week.
