Thanks Boarderchick, like you I really think maintenance for me (... long term when I reach a more ideal weight) will be harder especially at first and for awhile.
That demon of denial. He seems to get around doesn't he? All the weight I regained long ago.. I feel like I was almost comotose.. how could I not wake up and see what I was doing? The thing is.. I was awake.. and aware.. just not willing to face it and do something. But I am going to make the most of the experience of regaining. I will remember the feeling and the lies.. I want to live where I briefly was.. that taste of health has my appetite wet. I want it for life. I will live it.
Mel, thanks so much for the invitation to post here in maintainers. I've tried to bring myself to become a regular.. but I just don't feel like I belong.. So many of you have a special understanding about your life now that I really only can get a gleam of.... maybe having the goal of being able to be a regular here will be a special motivation for me.. meanwhile I'll lurk (a lot) and pop in once in awhile as a guest. I do thank you very much for your welcome.

Jayde -- I'm not a maintainer either, but I wanna be! So I'm hanging out here more and more. I hate driving without a map and want to know what the road ahead looks like!
Kudos to both of you for thinking like maintainers even if you're still in the losing phase. That means you already belong here. Smart ladies, you two. Hang around here for lots of helpful words from those who've "walked the walk" so as to speak. Welcome!
I am not yet at my goal weight but have a great deal to learn about maintaining. I truly want to keep this weight off for good. Reading everyone else's experiences with maintaining is giving me a better idea of what it will be like. Like everyone else, I've lost weight before and gained it back. I don't want this to happen to me again. Thanks everyone for sharing it means a lot to me.
