Question I get to join here!

but I have a question. I've reached my goal (well beyond hence the problem) and now I cannot seem to get in enough calories to maintain. I've gotten so used to eating only 1200 -1500 calories a day that I cannot get up to the 1990 recommended by the BMR website I found. So I continue to lose weight. another 2 pounds this week. I have started weight training (for my arms and stomach) but how can I HEALTHILY (LOL is that a word) add calories to my diet.

I cannot believe I have a problem eating to little. Mostly I'm upset because I just bought a new pair of pants and already they are too big. I really need to update my wardrob, but I don't want to have to do it again.

I've been slowly working my way up to maintenance calories. I've been increasing my portion sizes slightly and adding in some good fats like nuts and avacado. (There have perhaps been some double dessert days as well, but I'm not endorsing that ) I definitely didn't think that I'd have to worry about this problem either. Me? worry about eating enough?

I'm finding the gradual approach to be working pretty well. I was losing about 1-2 lbs a week and now I'm down to about .5 lbs a week. I'm hoping to ease to a stop within the next couple pounds.

I don't have any concrete advice, I just wanted to chime in with "I've been there too!" It took me about 3 months to really figure out what maintenance entails for me, partially physical and partially mental. It was hard to switch gears from losing to maintenance and sometimes gaining!

Best of Luck finding what works for you!
