Managed to get through the Super Bowl without overeating - an accomplishment. Glad that it's over so that normal life may resume.
I was astonished that my FaceBook page got a video from the Pope suggesting that watching the Super Bowl was healthy. Naturally, this came from a relative who pointed out that the Pope favored the Atlanta Falcons - by some theological argument. Fortunately, infallibility does not extend into American Football.
Meant to watch Lady Gaga's Superbowl performance (never seen her) but we got into Vikings instead. We don't watch sports of any kind so eating during games isn't an issue for us.
I attended my second restorative yoga class yesterday and really enjoyed the 1 1/2 hours of calm in an otherwise frenetic weekend. I will make time for this class - such a stress reliever!
Lady Gaga did a great half-time show! Sad that the Falcons lost, though. No overheating, in fact, no eating at all during the game except for our dinner which was good.
My house is almost all painted inside! They're finishing up in the garage today and then will move on to the exterior. So glad to have it done, but what a mess my house has been. I had to cancel my housekeepers last thursday due to the mess but they'll come tomorrow and then I can put my "stuff" back where it all belongs.
Did minor overeating due to Dh's birthday weekend/ Super Bowl and scale is reflective of that. We ate well, just more than I'm used to. We have leftovers for tonight (fajitas) and then it is gone.
Lady Gaga was phenomenal! I was rooting for Atlanta but we had a family bet going and I picked New England for that. My score I picked was the exact ending score!
My house is also a disaster with the projects dh started and then abandoned when he got sick. He *might* be able to take a day off this week to tackle some of them, but his back is wrenched so not sure that is happening. I also need to push the housecleaners not to come this week.

I go to a restorative yoga class on Sunday afternoon and find it's the perfect yoga class for the inflexible. I know you've been doing yoga for years so you don't have that problem. The guy who teaches our class has this mellifluous voice that is so relaxing. Plenty of snoring during shavasana.
We got our snow last night and now we are waiting for freezing rain. Makes it difficult to plan anything that involves driving. I will be glad when winter is over.
Restorative yoga sounds good. What kind of yoga is it and what's it restoring?
It's really slow yoga, mostly lying down with supports in the form of blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, etc. The idea is to restore your body and mind to a state of peaceful relaxation. I have fallen asleep in class several times, and I generally float out to my car afterwards.
