She is a tiny girl - 2.8 kilos - and she is bold and inquisitive. She's about 2 years old, a former street cat who had a litter of kittens, and spent about 5 days in another home before being returned due to allergies.
A tortie! My husband has a thing for torties. Our most recent cat acquisition was a morbidly obese senior tortie. We've gotten a lot of weight off of her, so now she is a walking tortoiseshell fur carpet thanks to her excessive skin. She also has an excess of "personality", like most torties I've known.
Congrats, Dagmar! May you two have years of fun together!
We had rain today!!! Not a lot, but enough that when we took our cats out for their weekly sabbatical to the back yard, I placed Ringo on the couch that was quite wet and his 12 pounds of weight caused puddles to form under his feet. Hopefully we'll get more tonight and tomorrow. We really need it here in California--especially after that tragic water main leak near USC that flooded the car parks and sports fields--what was the loss? 10 million gallons or so. Water is so precious right now that this is really bad.
Forgot if I mentioned when we were in Monterey that my DHs wallet went missing. Yesterday the bike store where we had rented bikes the day it went missing called to say they found his wallet!!!! We had already cancelled all the cards and reordered him a drivers license, but it was still great news! They are going to send it overnight. Makes no sense, it was in there store for nine days hiding. They said a man found it under something. So odd, but we are thankful!
The tree is down and all is fine. We are poorer but at least we can rest easier!
