She was at least 60 and covered in tattoos. She played music from the 80's and I think her moves dated from then too. 50 minutes Pilates class with a young girl that "taught" using magazine clips. She would look at her papers, tell us what equipment to use, and what the moves were. Dd and I were in the back and enjoyed a few chuckles when we did clumsy things like me kicking the stability ball across the room and the band thingy snapping me in the behind! We tried anyway! Thursday, August 9:
-Upper body lifting routine with a few extra sets -One set of kettlebell lunges, then ran out of time |
Thursday, Aug. 9th:
45 minutes on Stairmaster stepmill, maybe 20 minutes at resistance of eight, dropped to seven, at the end held the rails and felt lucky to get through it. I poured sweat and felt defeated, as I'd intended to get through a whole hour, and could not. Went back in the evening, and did 15 minutes more, again sweating hard, though it wasn't as oppressive as in the morning. Then 60 minutes Pilates class, in which I have to remember to focus on me, not the people around me. There are a lot of attenuated & elegant women with the dancer body type. |
