People really ought to separate "healthy eating" from "weight loss eating." You can lose weight on a steady diet of ANYTHING, as long as calories in are less than calories out (see this recent article for an extreme:
http://health.usnews.com/health-news...ight-loss-diet). That doesn't mean the food is optimal for your health, but what is optimal for health is very unclear, as evidenced by the ever-changing set of dietary recommendations put out by nutrition scientists. Just my 2 cents.
