Hello hello! I'm going to catch up the last few days when I'm not posting from an iPhone... I've been tracking, but the internet has been inconsistent...

Hi guys,
I haven't been posting cause I've been limping along dealing with some stuff I'd rather not have to deal with....but it's time to snap back to reality and remember that my #1 priority is taking care of my family and myself and that means eating properly. No junk!

Today:
english muffin with pnb, protein shake
greek yogurt
pbj sandwich
hamburger patty, spinach, avocado
grape tomatoes
dinner TBD
exercise---hopefully a run

So, self, even though the calories work out fine, it is NOT AN ACCEPTABLE CHOICE to replace your protein shake intended for muscle recovery with a bowl of ice cream, no matter how hot it is outside, OK? It's sort of becoming an at least once a week habit. Not. OK!

Plan for today:
B - Bagel thin, cream cheese, turkey, bucket o' coffee to try to shake off being SUPER tired this week.
S - Pineapple
L - Turkey roll up on flat out bread, carrots with hummus
S - Popcorn
S - Protein shake (AND NOT ICE CREAM)
D - Taco salad (lean beef, veggies, a touch of sour cream and guac, a crumbled tortilla, heaps of lettuce)
S - NSA Ice Cream Cone

E - 75 min cardio (HIIT for 35, then 40 min either SS run or inclines), 45 min yoga

Amanda, have you ever blended your protein shake with ice or frozen fruit? Maybe that would hit the spot better?

I do! The thing is, if I actually MAKE the protein shake, it tastes great. OK, not ice cream great, but pretty darned great! But I've been busy/exhausted and reaching for the ice cream because it is marginally faster and marginally more comforting.

I seem to be going through another vegan phase. Good time of year for it, with all the lovely fresh produce! In other words, it may seem alarming how much I'm eating, but I'm totally in bounds on the calorie budget.

B: Soy cherry/cocoa smoothie
S: 40-cal baggie of apple slices
L: 1/2 sandwich, whole wheat, salad-y veggies, watermelon
S: Last of the ratatouille over 2 grilled portabella mushrooms
D: Calabacitas
S: hummous, raw veggies
S: 40 g All-Bran, blueberries, soy milk

S - (post-run) - packet of sport beans

So I need to do a better job planning dinner. Frozen burritos? They don't even taste good. But I had a really great fast strong run after so there's something to be said for 40+ grams of carbs....

Today:
eggs, a little bacon, yam
yam, roast beef, grape tomatoes
That's all so far
Exercise will be a run this am and weights tonight.
