Whoa. Dropped all 5 lbs gained in pain med bloating, plus one more, overnight. Scale is still high, as it has been for a month, but is no longer scary-high. Hopefully I'll keep dropping water off and it will be even less tomorrow.

Ended up eating a granola bar a about 2 oz. leftover pork while fixing dinner last night b/c I was starving. And BLTs from the birthday cake I all the sudden had to make for someone at work. I didn't "have" to make it, but no one else was going to (I've turned into the only person who will make or purchase a birthday cake for birthdays... no one else will do it! Not fair!) and it's for a friend who's had a very stressful time lately. Though I enjoy cooking and baking, it's become really destructive to me to make cakes for everyone's birthdays. I think I'll just start volunteering to pick up the frozen cakes instead, even though I'll feel guilty. No BLTs that way.

Tuesday
B - oatmeal, sk milk, small banana, coffee w/ 1 T. h&h
L - Black Bean Fajita Meatball Pitas, cucumber
S - 6 oz. lowfat yogurt, peach, 1 oz. raw almonds
gym - cardio, shoulders, abs?
D - leftovers - Balsamic-Marinated Pork Chops & Grilled Peaches, salad

Yesterday went okay. Did a good LBWO after work - DH wasn't home so I felt no need to rush through.

B - 2 eggs, ww toast, kiwi fruit
S - ff latte
L - chili and salad (was the speaker for Lions Club - this was their meal, skipped the bread and dessert, and drank water)
S - raspberry yogurt, grapes (not together!)
D - we have a 4-5 hour city council meeting starting at 6. They'll feed us and hopefully it'll be sandwiches - their "go-to" meals are sandwiches or pizza (from the best place in town so hard to resist)

Ex: I'm leaving work early to go to the gym before the meeting, and have a good UBWO to do.

Hi folks. Just skimmed through the thread. I see that Amanda, you are on painkillers. That doesn't sound too good. I hope you are well.

I'm needing a little accountability here. I haven't been able to get my weight back to where I want it - below my red line. My one off splurge meal has been putting on insane amounts of weight. In other words, I'm just piling on the pounds, without ANY explanation - I think.

Here's my plan. I'm a big nibbler. Always have been. Even when I was losing. I would make my plan for the day and leave room for about 200 calories worth of nibbles. I would just go to the fridge and grab grape tomatoes, string beans, a couple of strawberries, etc. Well perhaps it's no longer working for me. Maybe those nibbles are adding up to more then I think, though I doubt it. Whatever the case is, I think for now I need to get rid of them. I tried the no BLT's mantra. Didn't do it for me, as I always justified it - "It's healthy". "I've got the room". Whatever.

What's really going to do it for me this time (I think) is to make a FIRM commitment, that no matter what I don't eat while standing. Not even while tasting to season my soup. It's been going pretty well since Saturday, but it's not perfectly there yet and I'm hoping the accountability of being here will help firm it up.

So, that's why I'm here. See ya later.

Robin, you didn't hear? My elliptical tried to kill me. Threw me into a closet doorframe (it broke...the elliptical, not the doorframe). I bruised the bone on my shoulderblade right where the tendons or whatever connect to it, so when I move my arm, it feels like someone is poking me in the middle of a bad bruise. Apparently bone bruises take months to heal...pleasant!

Another POP day, another 4 lbs of water gone. My body is SO weird but at least now I'm only 8 lbs away from my happy weight, instead of 18...ten lbs in two days. Still too high, but not catastrophic anymore. Thank goodness. At least it's validating...I KNEW those lbs were not all fat...that I wasn't eating enough to cause that much gain.

B - Egg whites w/ veggies and turkey, mini WW bagel
S - Fruit Salad
L - Leftovers - grilled chicken breast, squash bake, salad
S - Greek yogurt w/ berries
D - FiberGourmet Pasta w/ red sauce, ground chicken, roasted veggies
S - Fruit Floe bar - Caribbean

E - 60 min on step, 30-40 min yoga (I'll have to do this freestyle/without a video, since I can only do standing...no downward facing dog for a while).

Yesterday - OP, though changed a few things to different parts of day, added in some yogurt.

Today:
E: I would like to say yoga when I get home, but as my throat hurts and my ears are stopped up and my nose is running and I'm achey and whiney I figure I'll go home and collapse on the bed, then fix dinner...
B: pb&j, banana, coffee
L: panera bread - 1/2 fuji apple salad, garden vegetable soup, 56 ounces of french baguette
S: pure protein bar, sunsweet orange essence dried plums
D: either roasted veggies with turkey breast over pasta or turkey sausage with pepper and onion over rice
S: skinny cow dipper or mayfield orange yogurt bar

Good morning. Yesterday came in fine on calories, had some soup from Panera Bread so weight a little up today. I love soup but the sodium kills me.

Today:
E: treadmill once the AC service tech is finished
B: smoothie, coffee
S: string cheese
L: leftover squash, onion, broccoli, turkey blend from last night, probably without the pasta. Might roll it into a tortilla or make a sandwich with it.
S: Kashi Go Lean
D: turkey sausage with pepper and onion over rice
S: peanut butter graham cracker

It seems everywhere I go this week there is extra food being offered, special food, etc. I'm not doing so well in the battle! I already had a pancake and some granola (you know, "healthy" granola with all its sugar...) in addition to breakfast. So I'm posting my menu plan to try and stay on track for the rest of the day!

However some "extra" food was put in the kitchen at work this morning that I gladly grabbed - extra scallop squash grown organically in a co-worker's garden. He left a bunch of cucumbers, too, but my vines are still quite prolific and I don't need extras of those.

Thursday
B - mini ww bagel, 1 T light cream cheese, 1/2 oz. lox, 1 c. skim milk, coffee w/ 1 Tbsp. h&h
S - small banana, pancake, 1/2 cup Bear Naked Cranberry granola (those last two were the oops part)
L - Black Bean Fajita Meatball Pitas, cucumber
S - 6 oz. lowfat yogurt, cherries, 1 oz. raw walnuts
gym - cardio (hopefully running), shoulders, abs
post-gym snack to keep me from being totally ravenous at book club - hm protein muffin, string cheese
book club/dinner - fried oyster salad w/ hm tomato vinaigrette dressing. No fried arugula, just fresh greens. Yet another event where "off plan" food (the fried oysters) will be served, but I'm just going to try and limit my portion of those and eat lots of salad.

Amanda, I'm so glad some of those mystery/water pounds disappeared! We all knew they weren't fat too, there's just no way with the way you eat & exercise!

The magical overnight dropping of pounds stopped last night Hopefully it'll come back!

POP yesterday, except I had to add a nectarine because I was hungry.

Plan for today:

B - Egg whites w/ veggies and turkey, toasted mini whole wheat bagel
S - Nectarine
L - Leftovers - Roasted veggie and chicken pasta, red sauce
S - Smoothie - Greek yogurt, frozen mango and blueberries, almond milk
S - Popcorn
D - Chicken skewer, grilled zucchini, heirloom tomato salad w/ balsamic vinegar
S - NSA Ice Cream, Strawberries

E - 1 hour 20 min mixed cardio (a tape here, some step there, etc)

Tomorrow I'm heading to Arizona so I won't be around. TaTa

Amanda - sorry the drop stopped! And, I finally did the Yoga Fitness Fusion last night, and I think for me that the Yoga Fitness Plus seems harder. My hamstrings and hips are pretty tight and the Plus does a lot of standing balance poses. I seem to work harder on standing poses, my HRM says I burn 250 cals on Plus, but only 125 on Fusion.

I ate my turkey, squash, broccoli blend from last night and roasted some more squash to go with it, ate some corn tortillas with it. Oddly, I'm really nauseated now that I'm done. Ooky.
