Oh Glory, I too am glad you've posted this. I mean I'm certainly not happy for you that you must deal with this, but it is something I am taking note of. It's just amazes me how easily that even the super vigilant, such as yourself, can so quickly and without any effort at all, tack on a few lbs.
And I gotta say there is nothing like the old pants-o-meter. I had the same issue as you. Didn't wear my jeans all summer. Amazing how much easier it is to hide a few lbs in skirts. Well, I too knew there might be a problem. I finally had a good couple of weeks, no splurge meals or anything and dared to try them on. Yes, they fit, but not the way I had intended them too. And that was AFTER the good couple of weeks.
Soooo, how to rectify that? Well, for me, no splurge meals until they fit me the way that I want them to! So, far so good, by the way. And when I'm back to the jeans fitting me how they should (any day now, any day) well, it's also back to daily weighing for me. I really think *facing* that number every or most mornings is the safest way to be aware of and avoid "the creep".
Anyway, I'm glad to see that you're getting back to basics - Fitday and the gym. I am sorry to hear that you're hungrier then ususal. That stinks. I hope reworking your ratios will help you with that.
Glory, I've really no doubt that you'll have those few little lbs (great job for catching the creep at an early stage) off in no time at all. You're a pro after all.
Good luck Glory. I look forward to hearing about you prancing about in your jeans, all well fitting and trim, while in Seattle.
