Pineapple rules!!! sadly its v. expensive over here. I'm a blueberry kick at the moment - only 39 cals for 50 sweet yummy berries! lol I sound like I work for a blueberry company..
Both pineapple and blueberries are very expensive here! I've been finding cut up pineapple marked down though (although I got one package that had actually fermented - ewwww). Blueberries are $5 for 3 oz! And so far I've not found them on sale. We do have wild blueberries later in the summer, but they're not sweet at all. I usually make jelly for DH from them.
  • Occasionally I do - usually special occasions such as birthdays, christmas, easter etc...or when I go home to visit the parents, dinner parties etc etc.

In those cases I will have whatever it is that is going! A modest portion of the real deal and I'm done.

The last was at a dinner party the BF and I hosted, one of our friends brought over an apple crumble with custard...Mmmm...soooo good.

I am also partial to deep fried ice-cream with caramel sauce at Asian restuarants, I LOVE sticky date pudding with custard (this will be my birthday cake in a weeks time), my mums trifle

It probably evens out to a "dessert" once a month...but I do indulge in the odd chocolate, biscuit or muffin (home made of course is always nicest!). My boyfriend and I made lemonade scones with whipped cream and jam the other evening...yeah...I guess dessert is part of my diet lol
  • I almost always have a little something sweet everyday, a square or two of really good chocolate, or maybe a cookie/muffin. Sometimes, fruit, yogurt or cereal bars will count as dessert but usually I factor that in as part of a meal.

For special occasions (about once a month) I will actually really sink into something decadent, could be a flourless chocolate cake, a hot fudge sundae, fruit pie slice a la mode, etc. So far, this works well keeping me from going over-the-board crazy with the sweeth tooth.
  • I'm eating a piece of fruit every day which is an improvement over my past eating habits of hardly any fruit. Mostly, I stick to oranges, grapefruit, apples, strawberries, and banana.

Sugary desserts still don't appeal to me because of the medicine I'm on. But I did eat a chocolate glazed dounut on Saturday that triggered overeating. It just wasn't worth it so I'll remember that next time I'm tempted and I'll abstain.
