  • I wonder if there is such a thing as intuitive excercise. So I have gotten back on the wagon, but I have less than 10 miles to be done my goal and I am just no interested, LOL. I want to work out, but I feel like i am pressuring myself to finish in a certain time and that is causing me not to want to work out....Wacky I know.

So I decided to try and finish before the end of the year which is more than enough time.....

Anyway hope everyone has a good weekend and a Happy Holiday.
  • I am at my friend's house, where his cat thinks there is such a thing as intuitive exercise. She is in crazy-cat mode right now, chasing imaginary who-knows-whats.
Obi, do you have a pedometer? Someone just sent me one, and now it has become a game, to keep getting more steps on it than the day before. I think its psychologically good, because unlike the scales which can take weeks to show a change, this little gizmo doesn't take long at all to show you a big change in the numbers; a hundred extra steps today, a couple hundred extra steps tomorrow.....

  • I actually bought both my parents one (a pedometer) for xmas. I like my Excercise in one big lump at the beginning or end of the day. I do Walk away the lbs. I made a deal with my self...Self I said....It is perfectly ok to finish your goal before the end of the month.

I know I could have finished it if I had pushed myself, but I would have been miserable and I don't think thats what it is supposed to be about.

  • Never thought of that one, Obi, but it sounds good. I really love outdoor walking but it has been rainy and muddy now for 3 days. I live in the country so besides WATP or other vidoes I can't walk indoors. I live on a gravel road, too, and it gets very muddy. I do enjoy an exercise called bodyflex and try to do it every morning. Last night a few of the family went out to eat at a buffet (ugh) but I ate only salad and one plate of other food and couldn't eat dessert. That never happened before.
  • One with the Scale.
Ah forgot to mention I bought a scale the other day (ordered from amazon). I can't get to the gym in NY which goes to over 350lbs and no other options here in NJ. I figured even if it is only once a month it was worth it since it would save some aggravation when I did want to know my weight.
  • IE is tough today when I just went out and bought all these goodies for dinner tomorrow..

DH and I are flying to Atlanta on Christmas Day and taking a road trip for one week. Driving back to Ft Lauderdale and stopping wherever suits our fancy.

Wish me luck I have always traveled on my stomach (just like a turtle!)

    Happy Christmachanakuhawanza everybody!!

  • Have a safe and happy trip, Theresa. Had a touch of the flu last night which temporarily took away the appetite. Got it back today. ha!
  • Yesterday was a great day even though cooking turkey and all the fixings for 14 people. By the time you're ready to eat, you don't eat much because of all the preparation. I felt so good yesterday.... had more energy than I had had in a long time. Hope today is the same.
  • How are you feeling, Jo? Saw in another post that your weren't feeling well yesterday.
  • Me and the Scale
Well I picked up the scale today. I am down all of 2 lbs. I honestly thought I would be much less than that, but rather than focus on how much I didn't lose I am going to think about the fact that for the first time in year I am actually lower that what I was the last time I weighed myself. I also wish I had done it before the holidays, but oh well. So I know I'll be a little more focused now.

    How is everyone else doing?
  • Great news, Obi! Things are kind of slow here.
  • New Year Resolutions
I've been running through a few I want to add to my signature, wondering if anyone else is thinking of any, either just for your general life (outside of 3FC) or something weight loss/IE related.

I really want to eat out less (this is more for my wallet then weigth loss) and i would like to be able to say no more often in social settings, particularly when my boyfriend comes to visit.

    Anyone else making any?
  • Obi, congrats on the weight loss!

I'm glad Christmas is over. It was so awkward trying to field all the "are you ready for Christmas" questions, since I didn't do anything for Christmas. Maybe by next year I will have someone to spend it with.

Today is my weigh/measure day at the gym. I think I've lost more weight but I'm not sure.
  • Funny, Fiddler I had a special someone to share it with and really wish I could have stayed home (alone) in my PJs and vegged out.

  • I still have The Crud but it's starting to clear up a little, thanks for asking, Carol. My immune systyem is so blown out of proportion hyperactive that it brings out the Army and the Marines and the nuclear bombs at the least little thing, and I end up suffering more from my immune reaction than from the pathogen itself! Right now I'm telling myself, "the bug is gone already, you can stop shooting!!"
