Don't worry-you won't be forced onto maintenance. You can just buy more weight loss weeks. I only buy 50 lbs at a time. My stabilization and maintenace weeks are sitting there waiting for me . . . .

I was thinking the same thing.. I don't know if I will be happy at 150 becuase everyone is going for 130 at my height and that might be the weight I should be at. maybe 150 is too heavy for me.. I don't really remember what I look like at 150.. I think the weight I was happy at was 130-140. I guess I will have to just wait and see. I know right now I am losing weight pretty steady and I hope that keeps up. If it does then maybe i will have some extra weeks at the end to lose a little more weight.

The only reason I would have to buy more weeks if I could not lose more durring my already bought weeks would be, I would want my refund durring maintance.. and to get that I would have to be 5 + or - of my goal weight..

In the maintenance phase they introduce more foods into the program to figure out what you need to consume to maintain. The year of maintenance teaches you how to eat for the rest of your life so that you don't fall back into the old habits. You could essentially still lose weight if you choose, but I think that you are kind of defeating the purpose of the program, plus you are talking a year down the road. You could also average more than the 2 lbs. a week. I originally signed up to lose 76.6 lbs. and I hit that today and I still have 7 weight loss weeks left in that original agreement.

A while back I bought 10 weeks worth of lites and got 15 weight loss weeks free. I have also won some free weeks too. Just keep an eye out for some awesome sales on weeks if you want to buy more.

Deb's right about the maintenance part. Do you really want to lose 100 lbs and then not go through maintenance? Also, if you keep losing weight during maintenance, they will know because it will show on the scale. If you are 5lb above OR BELOW your goal weight, you are not eligible for the refund. It's your decision, but the reason you paid so much for the program in the first place is because you paid for the maintenance. Extra weeks can be purchased on specials, and at a few weeks at a time. I paid for 100lbs at first, and just added a few more weeks. I actually saw (I think Deb's) post about getting 15 weeks free and I mentioned it to my COD so when I bought a bunch of Lites, she threw in the weeks for free.

Don't stress over it now. You will have learned so much by the time you get closer to your first goal that you'll have a better idea of where you want to be. Plus by then the COD will get to know you and may be more inclined to wheel and deal with someone who has had so much success on the program. It makes their center look good.

I think that as long as you buy some product, they really don't care about the weeks - they did the same thing for me when I re-started.

Brenda- You won't be on red when you hit your goal unless you are not doing lites, exercise more than 5 hours a week or have a medical condition. You will actually go down 2 more plans. The maintenance phase adds in more servings of food until you find out where the point is that you can maintain the weight you are at. It is a little bit different for everybody since everybody is built different.

As long as you are following the guidelines set in your contract and are doing the lites, you have a guarantee that states they will continue your weeks at no charge to you until you reach your goal.

What do i have to look forward to when i hit the stabelization and maintenance phase? How much more food can I look forward to eating each day? I guess it depends on the individual and thier activity levels too...

The only sneak-peek I've gotten at the maintenance book is that 1/2 of a small movie-theater popcorn equals 2S & 1Fa.

BUT THEY ALLOW IT!!!

(hee!)
