LA Weight Loss #35
Hey guys! Just thought we needed a new thread...the last one was getting a little long!!
|
Hi everyone. How is everyone doing? I am so so right now. Just waiting till I have Surgery to get back in to LA. I hope everyone had a good weekend.
|
Happy Birthday, Jibbelle!
Jibbelle, I hope that you didn't study all day... it's not everyday that it's your birthday.
Boiled peanuts are delicious... within a short time after the peanuts are picked, while they are green (not green in color, but before they are dried)... you boil them in the shell in salty water... lots of salt... some folks even use a canjun spice in the water to make them spicy.... I survived without them... but, my bunch loves them. Nancy |
Janie,
I am a diet coke addict... I am so proud that I now drink fewer in one week than I did in a day before LAWL. Sometimes, I just have to give in... but, I believe that they make me crave :nono: foods & more diet coke... just a neverending cycle. Even since, I have cut back... they still trigger my hunger pains... so, I try to stay away from them as much as possible... but, some days... I have to give in... usually because, I'm too lazy to make tea. I'm not sure if it's ok for the plan, but last Saturday, I had some unsweetened raspberry tea... it was delicious. I like water... so, usually, I just have water... sometimes with lemon. I have drank unsweetened tea for years... without any sugar substitute... I can't stand it sweetened... tastes like syrup... I like to use lime rather than lemon in my tea... if you have never tried it... try it. I believe that cutting back on the sodas & drinking lots of water & eating several servings of fruit has really helped me drop some pounds. Lorrie, I know that you will be glad when you have your surgery behind you! I hope that you feel lots better soon & I'm sending you an  to watch over you for a speedy recovery. Well, I went to the bridal shower this PM... they had my favorite cake... lots & lots of tasty goodies... I asked my daughter to get me some water rather than punch... they had a veggie tray... so, I had broccoli & cucumbers... my daughter sat across & said Mama, is that all you want... I said please don't make a big deal out of it... maybe folks won't notice... "no, it's not all i want... but, it's all that is OP. love you, now, be quiet." Then, I brought cake home for my other daughter & husband... my other daughter is baking bread (oh, the house smells so good)... for a party tomorrow... told her that I could not help her in the kitchen... my willpower has willed all it can for one day. My hubby grilled us a steak for super... I just couldn't eat all mine... too tired of chewing... told him, I'd just have my leftover with my 2 eggs for breakfast. I thank each of you for being such kind  & being here to let me vent. I got on the scales here at home... didn't see any results... one more day of express... then, I go weigh at the center Tues... I will really be down in the dumps if I have not lost after resisting all the goodies at the showers this weekend... I guess that Tues will tell the story. Ya'll take care! Thanks again for helping me make this journey. And, Marcie... I hope your new job comes through... let us hear. Nancy |
I'm a Mountain Dew girl. It's diet but still the caffeine. I'm also addicted to that. I cant stand the headaches I get if I dont get enough.
All of this month I've been dragging my feet about being OP. I've done a horrible job. It doesnt seem like my heart is in it right now. I serousily think that sending the kids back to school has something to do with it. I have 5 boys and the chaos is amazing to say the least. I've only been doing this for 2 months and I have lost 25 pounds. I'm happy with that but I have ALOT more to go and wasting time isnt going to make it happen. Guess I need a good kick in the back side to get me in gear again. Glad I can come here and talk to you guys. I'll have to make it a point to come here more often. I'm uaully tied up with doing something else and by the time I do get some down time I'm dead tierd. LOL!!! Thanks for lending me a ear and listening to my complaints. Have a good evening........my evening will consist of lemon water and that's it. I've been so far off plan for the week and I cant even get my rings on so I need to drink till I float!!! |
Unfortunately I did spend most of my birthday studying. We will do more celebrating this weekend after my exam!!!
Nancy- I am sure that the express will give you body a jump start and it will be ready to shed those pounds again! Chrissy- 25 lbs in two months is great!!! If you keep that motivation going you will be skinny before you know it!!! I weighed in this afternoon and I was up a pound...but I had on jeans and I usually weigh in the morning with shorts, so I may actually be down! Have to wait until next time to find out. Take care all! |
helpful?
So...my boyfriend thought he would be helpful and unload the dishwasher. Now I want to make a frothy chocolate shake and I can not find my shaker thingy! ARGH! I have torn the kitchen apart looking for it. I guess I will settle for a chocolate crunch bar instead.
Last night he told me about his new favorite snack. He takes a spoon and heaps it full of crunchy peanut butter then takes a bunch of M&Ms and puts on top of the peanut butter...then eats it! Ok...so who else is jealous????? He did give me one M&M...as a replacement for my birthday cake and ice cream. Fair trade?? :dizzy: |
Hi Chrissy:
I also like having Mountail Dew I have tried giving it up a couple of times, but did not like the headaches either. I find it get me through the day. Hi to everyone else: I probably should not mention this but I cheated today I was getting a bit frustrated, I keep going up and down, it looks like all I have to show for the month is 3 pounds I know it is still a loss but I am finding it harder to lose weight and I still have 25 pounds to loss. Except for today I really do not cheat. I guess I just need to relax a bit and stop being so impatient. Just needed to vent a little. Diane Have a good week 4/10/01 201 9/24/01 160.75 goal 135 Christmas wish to reach my goal |
ChrissyB,
Welcome... or, I should say welcome back. FIVE boys... how wonderful! I bet they do keep you busy. Chrissy... 25 lbs in 2 months is SWELL! :) If you consider an average loss of 2 lbs p/wk... 8 wks/16 lbs or 9 wks/18 lbs... you are out front & doing good! KEEP IT UP! Mountain Dew is high in caffiene... perhaps one of the highest. I think that all are addicting. Caffiene withdrawal will certainly give you a headache. My family has been drinking decaffienated tea for years... I started buying it because I knew that we all drank to many colas. We don't drink coffee. So most of our caffiene intake is from the colas. I just had to make up my mind that I was going to cut back. I am feeling lots better. Today, has been one of those days... the 3rd day of the express... haven't felt as well today... still angry thinking about all those good foods that I deprived myself of... but, I stuck to the plan today... it may sound weird... but, I can't wait for tomorrow morning... I want some FRUIT & I want it bad... I'm hoping that this 2nd express will show some results... I just don't know... will know tomorrow when I weigh-in. Diane, Don't beat yourself up over a bad day..we all have them. :dizzy: Don't get discouraged about reaching your goal. Have you mentioned it to your counselors at the center? They may need to change your plan a bit. Do you exercise? I don't exercise near enough... hardly ever... I'm trying to change that pattern. When I do, it makes me feel better. You can do this! You have already done so well! Just keep it up and the last 25 will be gone before you know it. I wish that's all I had left to get rid of. Jibbelle, Good Luck with your studies! Remember your water... Jeans do weigh more... so hang in there & keep up the good work! Everyone, take care! Nancy |
:D Hi there ladie I hope that I can join this group? I have to say you have all done wonderful on losing weight! 25 lbs in 2 months???? I really am impressed! How did you do that it sounds divine! What plan have you all been doing? I am looking for ideas to do and I really can't afford WW at this point. I should introduce myself Hi I am Daphne and I am a foodaholic:lol: I want to lose about 90 lbs give or take a few. :o It is hard to belive how easy it is to gain and how hard to lose! My e-mail is [email protected] if anyone would like to email me. Have a nice day:wave: Daphne

We would love to have you even if you are not on this program. Everyone here is full of advice and wonderfully supportive. Chrissy- 5 boys??? :(
Well I hoped to hit the "under 200" mark today, but I didn't do it. I'm up .25 pound. Oh, well, what can I do? It was a rough weekend. I live near Dover, DE, and I work in Dover. It was "Race Weekend" (nascar) and I had to work all weekend, so it was rough. I stayed on plan, (mostly) but I suppose the stress didn't help. I'll get there by Friday. No oppourtunities to exercise this weekend either. Not only was I working, the traffic was awful, and my gym was closed so race fans could use the parking lot. As anyone who lives near a Nascar track can tell you, it's crazy when a race is on. I am SOOOO happy to have off tommorow. Believe it or not, I miss the treadmill!!! :) I told my husband I might do two sessions tommorow.
Happy Birthday Jibbelle!!! :) :D  :dizzy: Have some jello instead of a cake...you can even put a candle or two in it! :) Hello to everyone else, and welcome to the "newbies"!! We are a really friendly bunch here!!! Sorry I can't write more today, but I am SOO tired!!! Have a great OP day tommorow! Starting Weight 232.5 Current Weight 200 3/4 Goal: HOTTIE  |
:D Thank you for the welcome everyone. I have been doing diffeent post and they seem to slow down and noone goes to them anymore :( . I am curious as to what the LA diet is? Please tell me about it? I had to e mail my kids birth mother again. She told the 7 year old that I am not his mom that she is and this is the tramp that waled out on the kids when Robert was 2 months old!!! I was so steamed when Robert got off the phone that I wanted to call her back but we don't have her number:nono: I sent her an e mail telling her to put up or shut up! Anyhow I feel better now. Please tell me about this diet??? Have fun all:wave:

 Hello Daphne,
You can find out about LAWL at: Hey Daphne, Click here. As Jibbelle said... you are welcome even if you don't join LAWL. Sue, You can be proud! You have done so well! And you are so close... it may have even been your clothing. I bet by next weigh in, you will be under that mark. Especially, when you can return to the gym. I'm going to weigh-in today... I didn't wake up last night with any leg cramps or Charlie horses.. I feel better this morning... just drank 16 oz water... fixing to go have a kiwi... still have cake in the house from the shower... but, told myself to leave it alone... said you know that just one taste wil lead to one more taste of it or something else not OP. Hope that my willpower lasts throughout the day... it's going to be a long day away from home. Have a nice day everyone! Nancy |
Hi everyone. It's rainy all day today. We really do need it though. Glad to have that rather then the snow that will be there in a few months. I hate winter.
I'm going to have a 100% O.P. day today!! With NO exception. I need to get back into the swing of things. I need to really drink more water today. I've already had a Mt. Dew (diet) today because I need the caffeine. I really should try to kick that habit but......I'm not willing to put up with the headaches that I'll get. I have deceided to cut down though. :^: Hope everyone has a good day. I'm going to be cleaning the house and then I have to go and buy some new uniform pants, I'm a nurse, and my pants are getting too big. Isnt that a shame. LOL!! I get tierd of pulling them up all of the time. I'm going to get some with a draw string in the waist so I'll be in them a little longer then the last ones. See ya all later. Take care...ChrissyB~~*~~ |
Hi everyone:
Thanks Jibbelle and nancy for your support, I did get right back on track today, I am going to do two days of Express just so I don't have a gain for the week. I actually feel fine today I thought I was going to feel worse but I guess I took care of that yesterday. I am a regular exerciser and the councelors at my center are new so I find that they do not change the menu so much. When I am not losing fast they offer the take off for two days but how often can I keep doing that. Thanks Again Diane have a great Day! 4/10/01 201 09/24/01 160.75 goal 135 |
Hey everyone!
Well nothing new here on the job status...there has got to be something out there that I can do!! UUUGGHHH! Chrissy, Welcome back!!! Daphne, Welcome! I can honestly say the LA WL is the only thing that has worked for me. Unfortunatly since I am out of work I cannot do the plan...but truly works! Good luck to you! Diane and Nancy, Good luck with Express...I just know you will lose! Jibbelle, I am so proud of you!! NO BIRTHDAY CAKE! You deserve to lose!! What an inspiration! Sassemom, you have done soooooo well! Keep up the good work! Hope to have good news for you guys soon!! MarcieW |
Hi Marciew, What does the LA diet consist of? Its it anything like Atkins? How much weight did you lose doing it and were you hungry all day like on LF diets? Sorry for all the questions but I'm shopping around for a life plan
|
Hello everyone,
Well, I had my weigh-in today... following 3 days of express take-off. I'm thankful that I had a loss, but to be honest a little bit :( . I resisted so much good food & so many sweets the entire weekend at both of the showers. I followed the express days to a tee... guess that I was just hoping to hard... see the 1st time I started with the plan was on the express & I lost 15 lbs in 3 days... told the counselors that I would only give them credit for 10 because of TOM... so, I was trying to be sensible... . but, hoped to have lost 5 lbs this 2nd time with express... I lost 1-3/4 lbs... nearly 2lbs... wouldn't be so blue... if that 1-3/4 hadn't cost $20+.... but, if it keeps dropping off... I don't need to complain! Forgive me... I think I'm really just feeling blue over not being able to eat what I want... and having been really good with no cheating... I was just looking for better results. I've got to get out of the mood or I will sabotage things. Plus, I've got to exercise daily. Diane, what is the 2-day take-off? Do you have good results with it? Chrissy, It's great that you are having to buy smaller pants. :) the draw string is the way to go... Good Luck on cutting down on the Mountain Dew... it will pay off! Marcie, Bless your heart! Something will turn up... I've still got my fingers crossed! Hey, Tazz... I'm not Marcie... but, you can find out about LAWL at their site.... http://www.laweightloss.com I hope that everyone has a great OP week! Nancy |
Back To the Gym!!
Well, I was off today, so I made sure I made it to the gym! I actually went twice. Once in the morning, and then again in the afternoon with Erik. The second workout was a light one though. I feel REALLY good! :) I weighed myself after my workout this morning, and guess what? I had to move the "big" bar from 200 to 150....of course the little bar went all the way to 49.5 but I don't care! It made my day! We'll see what the LA scale says tommorow! :D
Nancy, I totally understand what you were saying about being frusterated at the results. It is hard when you stay on plan, you dod what you need to do, and then have disappointing results. We've all been there, I'm sure. Kinda makes you want to go out and pick up a resses's cup! (ok it makes ME want to go out and pick up a resse's cup :s: ) Try to put it in prospective though. You are 2lbs lighter, NOT two lbs heavier. This is a journey, and like any journey in life, it has it's ups and downs. Stick to it, and every pound lost is a pound closer to your goal!!! You can do it!!! We all can! Oh, I forgot to tell everyone this the other day. One day last week I was working by myself. I still don't know "who" it was, but I got an interesting phone call. This guy calls and says, "I was in your store earlier, and I have a question for you." I say, Okay, how can I help you. He said, "Are you single?" I SMILED!!! :o I said no, I'm married. He said, "Happily". I said yes. He said, "So there is no way I can talk you into going out with me?" I told him no, but he had made my day! I has HIT ON!!!! It's been SOOOO long since that's happened. (since my husband I guess!) WHOOO HOOOOO!!!! Hottie  here I come!!!! I have no interest in any man but my husband, but it sure did make me feel good! Starting Weight 232.5 Current Weight 200 3/4 Goal: HOTTIE  |
thank you! Sue!
Sue,
THANK YOU SO MUCH! You are so right. Thanks for understanding. And even more thanks for reminding me that it is still a step closer to my goal! You lifted my spirits (my hubby will be pleased  ). Glad that you were able to go to the gym. I know that will not only make you feel better, but it will be rewarding when you step on those scales. And speaking of scales... I bet you were screaming  ... I am so happy (& a little bit envious :D ) for you! Under 200... FANTASTIC! I bet the LA scales will be the same or less... Keep it up! (or down :D ) I hope that everyone is just a big ole bunch of loosers today  ... PUN INTENDED! Loose that weight ladies! Have a GREAT DAY! Nancy |
Hi Nancy:
The two-day take off is where you do the juice (that you buy from them) and use two bars a day and limited on the amount of food that you are allowed, but only could do every two weeks. I don't know when you joined but there is also the express for two days that you can do each week, at my center they do not do the express any more but I kept the paper so I still follow that. I have had success with both I do not loss fast, so I loss between 1-3 pounds when I do this. But nothing seems to work lately and I was thinking of asking the councelor if I could do the 3 day take-off phase again. i have not lost lately just folowing the diet, I am on the gold plan and I pretty much stay away from the limited stuff and I also exercise regular, so I do not know what else to do, but I do know I want to reach my goal so that is a plus. I am also getting tired of being on plan all of the time and not getting the results that I want, while my mother cheats up a storm and she says she still loses, but I do not notice so much on her any more that she is losing weight. Any way I gave you more than you wanted but I hoped I answered you question. Good luck this week Diane 4/10/01 201 9/24/01 160.75 goal 125 |
Thank you, Diane!
Diane,
Thank you... I started LA Aug 14th... started with the 3-day express, followed with the red plan for 2 wks... they changed me to the purple plan Aug 28th. I just did my 2nd 3-day express this past weekend (S,S,M). Servings for the Red plan: 2 1/2 protein 4 Veg 3 Fruit 3 Starches 1 Fat 8-oz skim milk 2 LA Lites the Purple Plan 2 Protein 4 Veg 3 Fruit 2 Starches 1 Fat 4-oz skim milk 2 LA Lites What does the purple plan consist of? I appreciate you telling me about the 2-day take-off & the 2-day express... guess that I am just not far enough into the program for those. I'm sorry that you are frustrated about not dropping those last pounds. I hope that you soon show some results for all your hard work. I bet one day soon you will see the scale going down. Keep us posted and don't give up... you are nearly there. Just look back at how much you have already accomplished. You can do this! Thanks again for the info. Nancy |
Hey Diane,
It's me again... I was chatting with Jibbelle on IM... she told me something that her counselors suggested. I thought that I would share it with you (Jibbelle, jump in anytime... especially, if I am not repeating it right)... just in case you haven't already tried this... One way to boost your metabolism is to move your dinner starch & your dinner fruit ( if allowed on the gold plan ????) up to an earlier part of the day. You can save one of your Lunch veggies for Dinner. Have your LA Lite before 4 PM. In other words, dinner would consist of only protein & veggies. How many LA Lites are on the gold plan? I like the bars & the shakes best. Which do you? which ones are you using? One of my counselors told me that folks lost more with the "kool-ade" type drinks... I'm trying to drink one of those daily & have either a shake or a bar for my 2nd LA Lite... I didn't know... but thought that I would suggest the LA drinks if you haven't already tried them... they are NOT as tasty to me... but, they do have lots fewer calories... unsure as to your gold plan & which lites you use... but, wondered if this may help you get moving again :?: I'm sure that you can drop some more... don't give up & don't get upset with yourself... it will work out... just gotta find what trick works... Take care, Nancy |
Hi Nancy;
I assume your are asking about the gold plan. It is almost like the purple, but with less food. 2 Proteins ( less ounces than the purple) 3 vegetables 3 fruit 2 starches 1 fat 4 oz. skim milk 2 La lites. The chicken for example instead of being 8 oz. is only six The beef which I hardly have is only 3.5 oz which is why I do not have it that much I usually go for the chicken, sometimes veal or turkey. I have not tried the drinks lately I will give them a try just to get things moving a little more on a steady basis, I can handle slow, but I hate going up and down all of the time especially when I am staying Op. I usually have a fruit after dinner so I will move it up a bit. as for the starches mine do not make it to dinner time I usually have the La popcorn or the La cheese curls during the day, at lunckh or afternoon snack to keep me from feeling edgy. Thanks for the advice I will keep you posted Diane 4/10/01 201 9/24/01 160.75 goal 135 |
You got it right Nancy. ;) I was telling her that when I was at a plateau someone at my center suggested eating fruits and starches before 4:00 since they digest a lot slower. It seemed to work for me, because I started coming down again after I made the change.
I am skipping weigh-in today since I have a test tomorrow and a lot of studying to do. I will go on Saturday morning. I will still get in two visits this week. I am happy with that. I do not have much else to report. I will check back in later this evening. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! I had a great one...even without the cake and ice cream! Take care all! |
Hi Jibbelle:
Thanks for the advice. Good luck with your test . Diane |
Hi everyone! Good to see that everyone is doing good. I'm going to try to get some sleep. I've been up since yesterday morning and it's catching up to me. I'm looking forward to the weekend....I have off!!! I think I'll catch up on some of my sleep then. I'll be sure to unplug my phone. I dont want my work calling me and asking me to come in. I'm a nurse and we are always short where I work and when they are short they start calling around for help. I hate to not answer the call because I really do care about our residents but I'm getting burned out and I need to be at my best for my family too .
Today wasnt such a hot OP day. I ate alot of things that I shouldnt have. You know I dont know why I do that. It really doesnt make sence to me. I think my biggest down fall is I have to go grocery shopping and I dont have alot of the type of foods that I need to have around readily available to me. I'll go to the store tomorrow. And tomorrow will be better. I'll take my lemon water with me this evening to work and try to get rid of the extra water that I'll be retaining for all of the high sodium foods that I've been eating......AAAAHHHHH:o I'll check back in tomorrow. Best wishes to everyone....~~*~~ChrissyB~~*~~ |
Quiet day?
Hey Ladies,
I hope that everyone is doing ok... I noticed that things are pretty quiet. I don't have much new to add other than I walked 3 miles this AM... with the Walk Away the Pounds video... I did the 1 mile video & decided to advance to the 2 mile... so, I put that tape in immediately following the 1 mile. I like it... now, I can't blame the weather unless the power is off if I don't walk. I set a personal goal to walk no less than 3 days per/wk with my hectic schedule... however the 2-mile tape is just slightly over 1/2 hr... so, I hope to walk more than the 3 days which I have set. I hope that this walking will just make me more fit and in better shape so that I feel better. If anyone is interested in an excerise video... I would recommend it... it's a good workout, although not too tough for anyone with health risks I hope that everyone has a nice evening. Nancy |

Hi Everyone:
Marcie Good luck! ChrissyB I had one of those days this week I just let they day be over with and got OP the next day and I end up having an O.K. week. Nancy and Jibbelle I took your advice and added a drink to my day instead of having two bars I have a drink and a bar, I will see how that goes I'd hate to give up both of them but I guess I got to do what I need to if I want to keep going down. And at the center she said maybe not having my favorite cheese curls everyday just maybe 5 times a week, she said wanted me to lose more than 1 pound a week. I hope this gives me a kick. Diane Have a nice weekend everyone! 4/10/01 201 9/27/01 159.75 goal 135 |
Congrats Marcie! The job sounds like a great possibility!
Anyone have any big plans for the weekend? I am going to weigh-in first thing in the morning....and to a hockey game tomorrow night. GO BLUES!!! No beer or munchies for me though. I guess I will have to hide a chocolate crunch bar in my purse. I will post tomorrow after weigh-in! The recipes look great...and probably only require a few minor modifications. Have a great weekend everyone! |
Hey Ladies,
I had my weigh-in today... I lost 1 1/4 lbs... not much, but at least a loss. I did my 2 mile walk in 30 minutes before going to work & after work headed to the center. My daughter & I covered just about every Wal-Mart & craft store in P'cola looking for red, white, & blue beads & safety pins. Not much luck... will have to try again next week. We did find a few safety pins in an assorted pkg at a Winn Dixie. I bought 5 kiwi & 6 pks of safety pins from the cutest young boy... wish that my unwed daughter had been with me... anyhow, he asked what the deal was with the safety pins :?: I asked him if they had been flooded with folks looking for them. He said, "no". I told him that the area Wal-Marts & the craft stores & the drug stores that we checked were sold out. I then told him that you used them to string red, white, & blue beads to make a flag. Jibbelle, I hope that you have lost bunches of pounds when you weigh-in tomorrow. ENJOY the hockey game! Marcie, did you find out anything? I'm still pulling for you! still got my fingers crossed! Hope that you found out something great & you are out celebrating. Diane, I hope that the modifications give you the kick you need. Keep us posted. I may have to do something different myself... today, I didn't eat a thing (except 2 of my fruits) until after 4 PM... that's the 1st day since I've been on LAWL that I really haven't eaten at the right time other than a few mornings when we slept in. There was just no time... I did drink my water throughout the day... but, I know that I ate too much & too late tonight... Tomorrow is a brand new day... so, I'll just have to try to do lots better! I do so much better when I don't have to leave the house. Tomorrow will be a little crazed, but, I'm going to try to eat before we go to my grandson's ballgame.. it doesn't start until 1:30, so everything should be  I take bottled water to the game & last week, I even packed my hubby's lunch & met him at the game... he had worked all night... he tried the hamburgers at the stadium the week before... yuck, he said... so, he buys a coke there. Post your recipes ladies, please! I hope that everyone has a beautiful fun-filled weekend! Nancy |
Nancy-
It sounds like you may have gotten another two miles in while shopping! I have never eaten fresh apricots but I love the dried ones. My mom has bought them and dehydrated them herself...they are yummy! The mall is opening at 8:00 this morning for big sales. I think I am going to run by there before I go to the center this morning. I really need some new jeans....mine are getting threadbare. Maybe if I buy some that are just a tiny bit snug then it will be motivation to lose faster! I would also love to get a couple new shirts to wear to work this fall. I do not want to spend too much money since hopefully these clothes wont fit me this time next year!!! I will let you know how weigh in goes when I get back. I will love to be under 270...that is my goal for September. We will see how it goes...I am soooooo close!!!! Take care all and have a great weekend! :spin: |
gained????
I just got back from the center and they said I was at 272...a two lb gain!!!! ARGHH!!! I am hoping it is some fluid retention or something because I worked hard all week to lose...I only had one "no no" and that was on Monday. I should have made up for that by Saturday dont you think???
I am going back to the center Monday afternoon and I better be DOWN!!! I am mad at those 2 lbs. Bad pounds...go away big mean nasty pounds!!! Ok...I feel better now.:) Anyone else have weigh in today??? Perhaps someone with good news to report? |
Hi Jibbelle:
I weighed into day I was down 3/4 pound so your advice worked for me, a total of 1 3/4 pounds this week so thanks again. I think sometimes we are hardest on ourselves, for instance you were offering me advice when I was stuck, I think we want things so bad sometimes that it is hard to wait. I am not sure but I am looking for a Christmas goal of reaching my goal weight I ended up buying more bars today they offered 10% off if you bought in bulk so I bought extra for maintence. I weigh in on Monday to I hope you reach your mini goal. Right now I happy when the scale moves in the right direction I am tired of ups and downs. Have a great weekend. Diane-
Congrats on your loss! You should be at your goal by Christmas. What a great present that would be!!! |
Good to Be Back!
Hi guys! I haven't logged on since Tuesday.....been so busy! I really missed you guys!
When I weighed in Wednesday I was at 198.5!!! UNDER 200!!!!!! I maintained on Friday, and that's okay! I'm less then 20 pounds away from the goal I set at LA (180, 160 is my personal goal) I've lost 34 pounds in just over 2 months! That's my two year old!!!! :o We were in Walmart today (also looking for red white and blue ribbon, since AC Moore is sold out!) and I picked Vivian up and she seemed SOOO heavy. I looked at Erik and said I can't believe I was carrying this around all the time! Marcie: Good Luck on the job offer!! You so deserve it! Let us know!!! Jibbelle: Have fun at the hockey game! And try not to stress about the small gain! It may be water retention!!! Have you tried taking water pills, I do during my TOM, and it seems to help. Nancy, I've seen people wearing the flag beaded safety pins! I looked in AC Moore for red, white and blue beads (after not being able to find the ribbon) to no avail! I made over 100 ribbons, and I still have people asking me everyday for one. (I don't even have one anymore, because I usually end up giving mine away) Hopefully I'll be able to find ribbon soon! We did find a shop today that had a few flag lapel pins left, so we got a few of those. Good Luck at staying OP this weekend, we Are the biggest bunch of losers and I personally LOVE it! :^: Starting Weight 232.5 Current Weight 198.5 Goal HOTTIE  |
