Default update

I just weighed in and I am down 1.75 lbs!!! WOW... I guess it was all the walking around I did at the botanical gardens (where we had our meetings). I told the counselor about how I ate and that I was suprised to have lost. She said it still may catch up to me and not to get too excited just yet. I am drinking lots of water this weekend!

Congrats on your loss Nancy! I am glad they had the frozen food guide for you too! Everyone else should make sure they ask for it. It says you can have some things 3/week, others unlimited times, but I try not to eat any of them more than once or twice a week.

They gave me a copy of the dining out guide today...so that should help a lot on my trip. I am staying at a Homewood Suites so I will have a kitchenette to cook in if I want and a refrigerator for fruits. I am going to eat breakfast there, pack my lunches, and they probably eat out for dinners. Hopefully all will go well. I have a couple more weeks to work on my game plan!

I have to hit the books. Take care all!

Congrats on your weight loss, Jibbelle!... I just had a feeling that you were going to see some results. I'm glad that they had the new eating out guide for you. The kitchenette should really help things work out with your diet, while away from home. It sounds as if you have a plan & a good plan. You can do this! I am so happy for you! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

We are supposed to go to a shower for the bride & groom tonight... I'm not sure what they are serving... just hoping that the meat is not smoothered in a sauce & there are some raw veggies or a plain salad with dressing on the side. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Even the 3-day express has restrictions... I may just have to step outside to make a phone-call (pretend call... thanks again Jibbelle)

Take care, everyone!

Hey,

I survived the shower... pretty well...

Since it was a shower for both the bride & groom... they had grilled out...

I had a hamburger patty... didn't seem to have any filler or seasoning... but, I hated to ask... didn't taste salty... they had bar-b-que chicken... my daughter had put chicken on her plate... she would have to sit next to me... she could not eat the chicken after having eaten her hamburger... she put her chicken on mama's plate... i pulled off the skin & ate some of the chicken.
Unlimited protein on the express, so I guess I did fair... had a slice of lettuce, passed up the ketchup, pickles, onions, bun, mayo, mustard, relish, etc.

They had potato salad, cornbread salad, broccoli salad (I had to try this.. not sure if it had mayo... but, just had a sm portion).

I passed up the cake & the ice cream sundaes & the rocky road brownies... so, if it was a smidge of mayo in the broccoli... oh well, maybe not enough to hurt... I was just pleased that I resisted so much...

My hubby & daughter are now eating boiled peanuts & watching Auburn get beat... I opted for a sm amt of broccoli with a little lite dressing & my 16-oz bottle of water.

And, I also opted for my friends here... thanks for all the support!

Take care,
Nancy

Thumbs up War Eagle & Go Gators!

Marcie,

Now, you don't mean to say that you like Bama...

I hope that you get the job you want! (even if you do like Bama)
GOOD LUCK!

Marcie-
Congrats on the job progress so far. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you! Maybe this will be "the one".

Nancy-
Boiled peanuts??? Are they just what they sound like? Dont they get soggy?

I really have no fun and exciting news to report today. I have been studying all weekend for a Biochemistry exam on Thursday. That is also what I will be doing most of the day today. I will be glad when this exam is over!!!

I have exactly 100 lbs to go!!! It will be nice to go to my next weigh in and have that be 90something.

Default WOW!

Congrats to everyone who's losing! Nancy and Jibelle, keep it up!
You're truley an inspiration! I dropped by LAWL yesterday and had gained only 3 lbs in the last month. I'm grateful that's all.
Gotta get back at least to drinking my water and weaning off of the Cokes AGAIN! Cokes are my stress "relief"! I love them, but they pile the weight back on! I never totally weaned off of them, but I was eating right and drinking maybe one or two a week!
I have a dietician friend that calls them poison in a can!

I'll be able to get back on the program the middle of OCT. Then I have surgery in Dec which means I'll be off again for another 4 weeks. I've got to get as much off before my surgery as possible.
I know I can do it! Just like all of you!

Keep up the good work!
Janie

Janie-

I miss my soda a lot! I would have one every afternoon before I started LAWL. I really dont like diet soda, so now I have a small glass of iced tea or a cup of hot tea in the afternoon. It is a pick me up. Good luck getting back on the plan! I am sure you will do great. We are all here for ya!

Marcie-

Thanks! I dont really have any plans for today...and my boyfriend is still in bed (at 10:30am!) so I not sure if he has something special planned or not. Maybe I should roll that lazy bum out of bed and find out!

We have dinner reservations and hockey tickets for a game next saturday, which was really my birthday gift from him. I am sure we will do something tonight, but not sure what.
