  • Just did 20 min TJ tape - hopefully, I'll know the moves in about a week - groan --

  • julie~ how long have you been doing TJ? do you see results? as it is much fun as they make it seem? I should be getting mine late next week.
  • Shennie - I've been BAD at working out, and have no excuse --except laziness -- however, I've done the first tape where they show you the moves, and inched into the 20 minute tape. I think you'll love it - very upbeat music, lots of women with terrific abs - and it's not too tough. and you don't need a lot of space. I think that once I get the moves down, I won't be so fumble footed.

    Did you get the entire package?
  • I'm very jealous of you two with your Turbo Jam. I'm thinking about getting it.
    Note of caution Julie - those women doing the exercise tapes are fitness models. NOT everyday people trying to get in shape. I don't mean for this to discourage you - no way. Becuz we will look like them later in the year....oh-rah....you go girls!!!
  • yeah, i got the whole thing, plus they suckered me into 2 extra dvd's
  • Shennie - I got the whole thing, too -- Truthfully, it's probably a better deal, then trying to get them later. On the BB boards, there's talk of new workouts in the next couple of months. . once you're a BB customer, you can get email coupons for discounts. Also, on the BB site there's a button towards the top for 'today's deals' -- not that I need anymore workout tapes! I just have to use what I have!

    I think Bre is doing TJ, too.

    Cardio - 35min - 10 min treadmill (warmup) 25 min stairclimber
    (the kind where the stairs go round like an escalator -not a stairmaster.)

    Weights - 30 min

    No stretching

    Today

    - dusting off my bike for my first training ride = 1-2 hrs
    preparing for a x-country mountain bike race in June

  • Thanks Star - so far on the 1st 9 wks of this program I have done very little exercise.

    That is about to change.....
    - I have my 1st skate ski lesson tomorrow
    -have signed up for a fitness challenge at the gym
    -start training for my bike race today

  • sznn - That sounds great...you must to love to workout foo.
    I just got done recovering from two surgeries since Nov 1st and Dec 16th. So I am starting to step it up also.....
    Keep us informed on how it goes......
  • Just got back from a 2 hr ride - it was fabulous!!

    2 yrs ago this friend I always trained with would leave me in the dust - but I had little trouble keeping her pace today. It was the sore butt that made me quit

    Really makes a difference not having that xtra 20lb fanny pack to lug around.

    Okay, so I was sickly over the weekend - BAD cold, felt like dog dooky.

    Friday night - - 30 minutes

    Saturday - 30 minutes

    Sunday - - 30 minutes

    Tonight - is my first class back at (Jazzercise) Have to figure out if I should wear my Sketchers (pull ons) or the surgery shoe. The doctor said that my foot might sweel up, if that happes and it gets too big it will get stuck in my pull on Sketcher......Hum Oh well I will figure it out before tonight....I'm soooooooooooo looking forward to it.

    Will report back tomorrow....
