I really need to get my bike out--I enjoy it when we go. We've been here since August and some things are still not unpacked--I think it's time. Lately the wind is blowing 40 mph so I hate going out then yesterday was calm and it was almost 90 degrees! I wasnt SPRING weather!! This going from heater to AC is for the birds.

Didn't realize what this thread was - what a great idea!

Monday did 20 mins on stairclimber, 30 min elliptical, ab crunches and stretches. Today had a no hands riding lesson (balance & stretches at the trot on horseback) 45 minutes.

stacyj 04-19-2006 07:16 AM

I walked 2 miles ltst night, 2 miles the night before, 3 miles on Easter and did Bikram yoga on Saturday.

mrsbeanie 04-20-2006 11:37 AM

Is the easy steps video they give you when you sign up by Leslie Sandsone? the lady that does WATP ( walk away the pounds?!) anyone know?

Thanks
Beanie

Katie ~ Where are you girl ~ What happened to the Bob and the Biggest Loser DVD? Did Peaches eat it

Repo girl 04-21-2006 09:34 AM

Julia- I have been really pathetic at getting out of bed since the time change. I am going to workout in the morning, since I won't have to get up so early (off work) then again on Sunday to get me back into the groove. I am starting to hurt all over again, so it is pretty obvious to me that I have got to get back with the exercise. Not to mention that the reason I am on red is because of all the exercise I was doing, so I am not doing myself any favors by quitting. I am just having a hard time getting motivated.

wp95jma 04-21-2006 09:47 AM

:cheer: Come on Katie you can do it :cheer: Put a little power to it :cheer:(sorry - my lame attempt at a cheer)

Repo girl 04-21-2006 10:41 AM

Thanks Julia, not lame at all. I really need it!

I kinda went AWOL for a little bit. I am slowing coming back. Lost 3 lbs in 3 days. Must be doing something right. I am starting off slow since I moved back to purple since I wasnt exercising or eating enough to stay on red. I have to stay under 5 hours a week which isnt a bad thing. I did a 30 minute power walk on the treadmill last night. Hoping to do the same tonight *maye will do 40 min* And then hoping to go on a LONG walk outside tomorrow if the weather is nice enough with the dbf. I will be lurking for a little bit but slowly will come back!! :)

Just got home from the store and bought the Carmen Electra dance striptease aerobic video. Can't wait to try it out. I told my husband I was going to get it and he said, "Why? All I have to do is tell you to strip and you do." Men.... Anyway, I will let you know how it goes. I probably should put my 3 year old down for his nap first.

 Let me know your opinion on the video. I am thinking of getting it as well. I've heard conflicting opinions on it and I think I may just have to try it out myself. Anything that has you smacking your own booty can't be all bad.

getting_smaller 04-24-2006 04:06 PM

Well, I screwed up and bought the 2nd disc instead of the first. It's ok though, because the second one is the "getting in shape" DVD. Had me sweating just a little ways into it. Good to know, though, that Carmen Electra was having trouble keeping up with it too. It's not bad. My whole issue with all of the workout DVDs is that you have to wait through all of the talking each time before you get started. I will keep on the lookout for the one where you "slap your own butt."

60 minute run on treadmill

aggie2006 05-01-2006 03:15 PM

i have the striptease video, for anyone who is moderate in activity level...the video is too little of exercise...its cute and fun, and makes you feel sexy, but not a real work out...a mini workout if at that!

i did 60min fast pace walking, some uphill...

CafeAmericain 05-01-2006 07:24 PM

Does anyone know of a good Latin Dance type work out tape or DVD? I would like to find one that uses a few real dance steps rather than aerobic gymnastics to Latin beat music. I'd really appreciate any tips! :-)

Hey Megan, We miss you around here, girlie!

ljackson 05-02-2006 05:15 PM

I have the striptease dvd too, I think it is too easy, Good if you have already done some cardio and want to add some fun, but I would not do it as my only exercise.

You know what I do now? I TIVO what I would normally watch at night (Gray's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Scrubs, etc.) and then I run to it in the morning. I have found that I CANNOT exercise unless my mind is occupied, and my good t.v. at night is the only thing that does it for me! I'm too tired to exercise at night, so I do it in the morning. And I get so busy watching my favorite shows, that before I know it, it's been an hour!

My DH was the one that told me that they took the baby away from her,(I was putting the kids to sleep in that part), but I thought that the guy sign the paper giving the baby to them, also I missed when the son of the lady(the one that the mother is hiding b/c he hurt a girl) break in the room of the other girl and the mother (Marcia Cross) point the gun to him and bring him back to the mother house, I miss what happen too, darn it!

Michelle:

Aggie, thanks so much! I've seen that one on Amazon, but I didn't know anything about it. I'm sending for it tonight! :-))

Rad, I had read good reviews of the Zumba workout on Amazon. They didn't have any available though. Thank you for the lead to their website! (And the tip about E-bay, too!) I'll check that out now. :-))

Yesterday morning I walked for 40 minutes, Yesterday afternoon I rode the exercise bike for 30 minutes, and last night I went to the park with the kids and chased my twin toddlers and 10 y.o. around for about an hour. The little ones loved feeding the ducks and chasing them around. Chasing them was more of a workout than the other exercise I did earlier in the day.
