New/need help
Hi, I'm 30 years old, almost 31 in September. I am 5'1" and weigh 183 pounds. I was 186 last Wednesday but started on the LAWL and have been doing pretty well with it. I am divorced over a year and am getting remarried in December to a wonderful man. My daughter is 9 going on 18 (any of you moms out there probably know what I mean). I have struggled with weight all my life. I have tried various other diets with no success. I need all the help and support I can get. I know we can do this if we all stick together.

I'm Joni from Atlanta. 48 years old with at least 30 pounds to shed. I really was not ready nor motivated to start any program, but joined LAWL a couple weeks ago -- something new and different. The program has a great balance of food and my COD is actually amazing. They review my menus and even when I think I'm POP, they find several areas where I could be doing better. I thought I knew EVERYTHING there was to know about losing weight, but I walk out every day learning something else. I hope to keep the motivation and reach my 30 lb weight loss goal, because like everyone else, I need to be healthy! My 50th birthday will be here before I know it and I'd like to be in the best shape ever. Thanks to all on this site for your advice, motivation and encouraging thoughts.

Hi Everyone. I just joined this forum today. I am on LAWL, I have been on it since May 30. However, I have only lost 8 pounds. But it seems to be working. I have been reading up on the 6 week thing. My goal was to lose 30 pounds, and now I have 22 left to go. I am noticing inches coming off more than my weight coming down.
I hope this works. Its nice to know that there is somewhere to go when I need support and have questions answered. There seems to be a wealth of information on this sight.

I started LAWL this morning and am very hopeful. I am 58 years old, married for 39 years and a few months to a wonderful man. Have two sons, two grandsons and two wonderful DIL's.
Love to camp, scrapbook, embroidery, quilting, cooking, reading. I am 5"2" and weight too much, 232. I would like to get down to 140-150.
I tried Atkins and did it for two years and did great but got tired of not having a bigger variety of food. This looks to be a wonderful plan and love the fact that there is so many choices.
I have been reading here a lot and know that I will be here daily to get some ideas and support.
Sure glad that this is here.
Linda

My Story and Introduction
First Off Thank you to everyone on this board. I have been stalking it for quite sometime ! I was on LA a year ago and had great success. I have found some pounds creeping back on and know I need to nip this right away. I am not planning on going to a center to do this. I have all of the tools and resources and feel I will be accountable to you all. I am looking foward to getting back OP. Gold is my plan.
Thank you
Krystal

I've just found this board this week, just as I determined to get back on the LAWL plan. My name is Debbie and I lost 25 pounds with LAWL 4 years ago and kept it off until last summer. Rather rapidly the pounds have accumulated about 20 in 6-8 months. I am not going to a center (I am living overseas now) just trying to do the program on my own. I was very legalistic about following the plan before, I rarely cheated, but I think that was because I had to confess to the counselor 3 x a week! I always lost 2 pounds a week, but I'm afraid doing it on my own, I will be tempted to cheat.
Another difficulty for me is I live in Nairobi, Kenya and there are no low-fat, sugar-free, or low sodium foods available. I brought the Lite-Salt from the states and Splenda but that is about all I have.
I just turned 48 (July 15), have 3 children, only one at home (DS-14), and am from Alabama. I weighed 150.0 on July 15 and 146 this morning! Feeling very encouraged so far, but I know it is because of all the water I've been drinking.
Debbie
