Personally, I think Deanna realized that having Brett home full time was not going to be good for their marraige. Afterall........playing football is what he does. I am guessing she has bugged him to spend more time with family for years and years..........he finally decides to do it......and then she says, "ok, you were right........you need to play football to be the man I love.....you are driving me CRAZY......go play some football or you're outa here permanantly!!!!" Really though.......I have no clue what is going on. Is he playing again? Was there a press conference yesterday as planned, or did they flake out again? I think the whole thing is stupid, but I do feel for Kristen's boyfriend.......I'm sure he feels like an a$$. And, even with all the drama.......I still have a soft spot for him. He is a celebrity who acts kinda like a normal guy......and it's hard not to like someone like that. Time will tell :)

So..........I am VERY proud to say that I was completely OP on my B-day!!!! It felt pretty darn good!!! I think it has helped me to figure out some dates and look for an end. I think, by Thanksgiving I can be down to 190. I fit into 14's with ease at 190. That is really not that long.......so.........figure out some weights and dates ladies..........make it real.

Val..........soooo good to see you :) Hang in there, lady.........it is soooo worth it!

Kim........I do the same darn thing. I have been a bit better lately..............my kids like to play on the computer, and with all 5 of them old enough to do so, it takes quite a while to get back to my turn.... Also......with them home, my house is much more work, so I simply can't play all day. I can tell you though........if I were at a desk all day, or even half of a day........i would never get any work done......:) Don't leave us.........just give yourself two or three 5 minute breaks a day.

Katie, Katie, Katie........I was still laughing about your poem last night in bed. DH found it very romantic......you know, me having the giggles in bed....... That happens quite often........you would think he would be used to it by now.

And Kristen.......do tell us about your new house!!! I am so excited for you. I know you have been working towards this for a while now. Did your house sell? Is the housing market a mess like it is here?

Amylou.......can I just say one more time how nice it is to see your sweet smiling face here? I feel so at home with all of you olblies around this week.

Ok, time to get to work. I just can't decide what grossness I want to tackle first.

Dan........thinking of you, Liz, and the kids.
XOXO

Good morning!

Wow-I love to see everyone back and feeling motivated.

Kristen-yes extra padding is definitely creeping up! Let'e make it stop!

Nicole-I'm with you on making it real. When I find out that I passed the bar I want to be running up and down my neighborhood screaming my size 14/16 panties off! I want to be a comfy 16-not a I-Can-Get-the-zip-per-up 16. Let's do this! I don't care so much about the pounds---it's these inches! So uncofmortable!

Dan I am SO sorry to hear about your doggie. I know how painfully hard that is. Make sure to take the time to really grieve, it's important to your whole family. Sending you all hugs!

Hi Katie! So good to see you are still here!

So I'm not really sure what I am doing. I haven't been on a plan. I've basically been trying to shrink my tummy. I was eating sooo much the last month. Like serious, I should be on Dr. Phil, what is your problem type eating! I know it was srtress-but it was totally freaking me out!

Trying to start back OP had lead me to cheat three times in a row, so I decided to do a hardcore shakes for bfast and lunch with very limited fruit and veggies. No dairy and no carbs with a lean protein/veggie dinner.

OMG I feel so much better. It's only day 3 and I'm already feeling myself return to normalcy. I think I'm finally mentally and physically prepared to be back on plan!

I'm not quite mentally ready to deal with my ticker....

Nicole- I hear on the giggles in bed. The other day I had a dream that was so funny. DH woke me up and said, "What are you doing? You have been laughing for a half an hour." Then I told him about my dream and laid there and laughed until I had to call my sisters and my mom and tell them about it. I am laughing right now thinking about it.

hey everyone. just checking in for the day. i'm starting to get back into a somewhat normal routine after being away from home for a little over a week. but now dh is job hunting now that he's back..and it's a tad slow-going. so prayers/thoughts for him to find a job soon, would be amazing! :)
i got a great workout in yesterday and have been doing pretty good at staying OP and getting all my veggies/water in. i'm down a few lbs since i'm assuming what i gained was mostly due to excess sodium from eating out every meal for 8 days.
so yeah..not much else going on with me. just enjoying having dh back home. i'm off to get a workout in here shortly.
again--it's so great to see all the "oldies" back and posting and i totally appreciate all the love, support, thoughts and prayers that i get from all of you.
xoxo.

and YAY! to nicole for being good on your bday! whoo hoo!

Hey Jillian, I want to hear about you and the dress!

ferrarimomof2 08-06-2008 02:38 PM

Hey everyone,

I'm just checkin in for the day before I go out and play in the dirt with the kiddos. I have been doing PTA stuff all morning. If anyone knows of a corporation that will donate for our Fall Festival, will you toss there name my way? So, far I have gotten two companies promising to send us certificates. I have been OP today. I decided to split up my protein between breakfast and lunch and see if it helps me any.

Nicole- CONGRATS on staying OP on your birthday!!!!!!!

Jillian- I will be praying for DH finding a job soon. I know how that can be. I am glad that you made it back safely and are back OP.

Amy- It is so good to see you back on here. I was thinking about how you were doing the other day.

Katie- Your poem made me laugh.

Dan- You, Liz, and the kids are in my thoughts. Sorry for your loss.

Cecil- I hope you are having a great day.

Julie- I just wanted to shout out a hello to you also.

To everyone else- I'm sorry if I missed you in personals. I have to go and play before it starts raining.

Have a great day.

Katie.........so glad to know that I am not the only one who has to call her sister and mom from bed because you just can't get the funny out until you laugh about it with them.. Many times, I have had to do that. And, you have me laughing now too!!!!

Amylou.........good for you!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed your statement about running your 14/16 panties off!!!! Isn't it such a great feeling to be in control. And, when I am off plan, I too could easily be on Oprah or Dr. Phil. What I can eat is just disgusting.

Jillian...........how long is DH home for? I know you have told me before, but I just can't remember. I am so happy for you that he is home. I know it hasn't been an easy year for you

Laurie.......how old are your oldest grandsons?

Oh, and Amylou........here is my darling little Maria :)

and where the heck is Debbie?

chiquita623 08-06-2008 03:54 PM

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you are all having a great Wednesday. We just got HD hooked up on the tv and then we plugged in the wii. I am so excited. I'm sure the grandkids will be showing me up really quickly on it!! My 2 oldest grandsons are 8 and a half. They are cousins and were born 2 weeks apart almost to the hour. I think they're like 2 weeks and 3 hours apart in age.

I'm doing pretty well today with my eating. OK - not well due to this crazy cold I have. I just can't taste anything and it makes me not want to eat. I'm at the point where I only want ice cold things to soothe my throat. Maybe by tomorrow thing will be better.

Gotta run pick up my boys. I'll check back in tomorrow. Have a great evening.

Happy belated Bday Nicole!

Glad you had a great holiday Jillian.

Not feeling motivated at all right now. I told COD I wasn't happy with my recent losses or lack thereof. SHe said I am eating the same thing everyday and to switch it up a bit. She said she would like to give it a week to 10 days before considering switching my plan. I think plan 1 would be good for me, but they are hesitating to switch me. What do you all think?

Mama Nicole 08-06-2008 06:14 PM

i think you will starve on plan 1!!! actually, i don't really know that for sure, but sometimes we are eating too FEW calories, and our bodies rebel by holding on to each and every one. Up your water intake a bit, and try to keep your starches in check by making a couple of them starchy vegetables instead of breads or crackers. Also....you can always try to do chicken and fish for your proteins. Tell us exactly what your losses have been and what the timeline is. You don't have a ton to lose, so it makes it go more slowly. The most important thing to remmeber is you need to see a downward trend. Those that keep it off most often do it slowly (except for that jerk, Dan), so even though I know it is difficult, try to be patient. At 5'6", your body may only let go of 10 more pounds. Sometimes, even if you can reach a very thin goal, it is near impossible to maintain. What size jeans are you wearing? How old are you? These are all things to consider. I am not trying to talk you out of your goal number......just trying to see where you are :)
XOXO

Hi Everyone ,

Seems there are more people for me to get to know!

I've been staying pretty well POP. LAWL seems to be very restrictive the first month, so I'm getting a little bored, even after just 2 weeks. I'm down a total of 7 lbs., so it's obviously working.....

Erin--You and I are are close to the same height (although I'm a couple inches taller). My COD told me I would drop down a plan when I reached 155-153. I would think you would be really close! Hang in there....I know it has got to get frustrating when the weight isn't coming off as fast as you'd like. How long have you been doing LAWL? I was getting impatient with the scale, but when I realized I'm down 7 lbs in 2 WEEKS, it helped a lot. I didn't gain 40 lbs. in a couple of months...it took me 10 years. If I lose 40 lbs in even 40 weeks, then I'll feel WAY ahead of the game!

Wishing everyone healthy eating!!!
