Hi everyone,
I had the most off program weekend. I am going to WI tomorrow and I am scared to see the damage. There was alot of booze and off program eating.

I was pissed off when I went to COD on Friday morning to see I had not lost a lb in 2 weeks, during which I had been pop and did a TO. I had a 3.5 lb loss 3 weeks ago and gained it back the next week, thinking it was water retention I didn't worry about it. I was feeling really frustrated to see the scale had not budged being so good and let it get the best of me. I drank way more than planned, had a smore, 3 handfuls of chips, french fries and pizza.

In the future I am going to try and not let it snowball so badly when I fall off plan. I recognize I should have stopped the first day and get right back on the next day. Wow I feel lousy right now. Thanks for listening.

Remember me?

I am DONE with the bar!!! It has been a crazy transition from madly studying to having time off. I'm on vacation for the next two weeks!

I don't want to get into the horror that is the scale right now....I'll save it for later.

Something told me to log on here tonight. I got a new computer and don't have my old "favorites" list like I used to. And I realize now it is bc tomorrow (today by the time most of you read this) is Nicole's bday!!!

Nicole I hope you have a fabulous birthday!

I have just skimmed some of the losers and friends threads, but hope to be on here more often! I've missed you, my body has missed this and my scale misses it too. Why did I ever stray???

Okay, I come here with tail tucked between my legs. In January 2007, I joined LAWL. At that time, I weighed 162.6 lbs. I did very well on the program and was down to 126 by the end of the summer. Some of the "oldies" like Mama Nicole and Dan might remember me. I pretty much kept the weight off until the beginning of this year. I started having issues with migraines again. And, when I hurt, I want comfort food. So, here I am back up to 145 lbs. I can not believe that I have put on 19 lbs. after how hard I worked to get all that weight off! However, there is no one to blame but myself. I need to get back on the program, and I need to stop coming up with excuses. Like, "oh, I have to eat all this yummy food in my refrigerator and cabinets before I can start a diet. Food is too expensive to waste." However, new clothes are expensive, too, and I gave all my "fat" clothes to Good Will long ago. I thought it would help keep me motivated. Instead, I'm walking around uncomfortable in the bigger of my "skinny" clothes. :-(

I had an okay weekend! For a holiday I managed to stay OP most of the time. I say most because I went to visit my mother yesterday. She had macaroni, potatoes, chicken (BBQ'd with very high sodium salts and spices!) and French onion soup ( 450mg sodium /1/4 pack!!!)

I think I did okay, I ate some raw veggies, a piece of chicken and some soup. didn't touch any of the macaroni or potatoes since they aren't on my list of foods Iam allowed to eat yet. I actually had a HUGE head ache after- I think from the salt!!

Besides that for dinner I didn't get all my foods in yesterday. Hopefully my WI today won't be too crappy!

:hb:Happy Birthday Nicole!!!!!!!

:celebrate:

Didn't want to miss it.

- Not much going on here, busy, busy, busy, busy. Must get back on plan! I am going back to school for my Masters in Educational Administration starting next month. In order to be certified, I need a Masters and then 30 more credit hours, ugh. The potential increase in salary is huge, though, so it's worth the time.

Anyway - just checking in and saying hi to all my old friends. I see you are all hanging in there, and lots of new names too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NICOLE!!!!!!!!!

I am going to stay on plan today. I promise myself and all of you. Although, I could really use my coffee this morning. I have to take DS to doctor this morning and then plan to spend the day with him and DD before school starts on Monday.

I hope you are all having a great day.

Doesn't it just give you the warm fuzzies, Nicole?

As for the Masters in Ed Admin, I could become a principal or supt, but I would have to do some of my 30 extra credits differently. I will be able to be an Assitant Superintendent for Business the way I am going. After I get through it I will only be 12 credits from a Doctorate! That cracks me up. "Dr. Kim"! LMAO!

Jillian - I am so happy that your DH is home safe and sound. You deserve a lot of happy times to make up for missing him so long.

amylou7777 08-05-2008 11:18 AM

Wendy, Kim-it's great to see familiar faces!

Nicole- I don't find out my bar results until Nov 21!!! I will be continuing as a law clerk until then. I'm thinking positive! Hope you had a great bday!

It's not the best timing for me to be starting again, TOM is around the corner and so is a week long vacation....but I feel so uncomfortable. None of my newer jeans fit and it makes me sick to see that I was once at 238?! When did that happen?

I found some LAWL shakes at big lots this weekend. I've been doing that for bfast and lunch with a normal dinner. I'm kind of in limbo right now bc this will be my third attempt at getting back to POP. I did the fast forward in June and being near POP only lasted about three days. Part of the problem is not knowing what plan to be on. Do I go back to red? I haven't weighed myself but I'm pretty sure I'm at 250+ :(

Anyway--I know these hesitations are just fear of failure. I was so unstoppable last summer I just wish I could get back to that place. I was very POP on my vacation last summer, I know I can do it again!

It's so motivational to see so many of you have been so successful!

jewljz 08-05-2008 11:18 AM

Erin - was the smore delicious???
Dionne - I hear you about the school lunches, I pack my kids lunches because they just don't eat! Extremely picky kids! I've started hand feeding my 4 year old again because he has gotten into this really bad habit of saying he doesn't like something before he's even tried it! He's getting better though... I don't worry too much about variety because my main concern is that they are going to eat it. I do make sure that I pack some kind of sandwich, chips/crackers, fruit, dairy, and a low sugar drink. If it were up to them they would have the yogurt plate option at school every day! Basically just fruit and yogurt...

Mama Nicole 08-05-2008 12:38 PM

Dr. Kim..................yeah, it does give me the warm fuzzies :)

Amylou.....that is just torturous!!!! How did you feel after the exam? I am sure you did great.........you are such a good student.

Ok, time to get some work done :)
XOXO

P.S. ok, so i realize, Kim, that my top statement makes me look like a dumba$$........I think you can figure it out, as I often run my thoughts together......but I was simply addressing you as Dr. Kim.........and I meant that you guys all showing up on my b-day gives me the warm fuzzies. Well......maybe my further explaination is just making matters worse....... Also.....I think Dr. Kim has a real nice ring to it :)

Hi all!

It seems like it's time for a few of us to come crawling back. Personally, I've been AWOL since April. I was very frustrated with the program at that time. No matter what I did, I could not get of the hump of 100 lbs lost. The counsellors were not a lot of help in trying to figure out why I could not get over that hump, either. All they would suggest is take-offs, which I would do and get absolute no where. Then I went on a 10 day vacation to New York City and Quebec City, followed immediately by a week long conference in Seattle. Needlless to say that during that period I was definitely not OP. With the frustration I had been having I felt I needed a break, so never went back to COD. Then in July I took a 2 1/2 week vacation which ended with a weekend in Vegas.

So after all that, I'm up 20 lbs and ready to recommit to the program, however, this time I'm trying to do it without COD and with the help of all of you!

Oh, and Happy Birthday Nicole!

mamato2girls 08-05-2008 01:29 PM

Nicole - Happy, happy birthday!! My migraines are doing much better. I've given up aspartame, which means NO diet soda...not good when you're trying to lose weight, must have caffeine, and don't like coffee unless it's loaded with milk and sugar (yum, Starbucks!!) Needless to say, I've gone back to regular soda. Boo, me! I've also started taking a Coenzyme Q10 supplement. Both cutting out the aspartame and taking this supplement have helped tremendously!! At one point, I was having migraines every other day. To date, I haven't had one since July 18th...knock on wood.

Jillian - Girl, you look awesome!! I check out your pics every once in a while on MySpace. Only 8 lbs until goal! You are almost there!! Glad to hear that DH is home with you.

Kim and Amylou - Hello there!!
