Default I'm new and I need Help!

Hey all. I'm Sunshine, and I just joined here so I'm still a newbie. I started LAWL a couple of months ago, and things looked really promising. And then a few weeks ago, I moved. It was a sudden move, and moving is always stressful, so I got off track. To make matters worse, everytime that I went to the center that is close to where I live now, they were closed. They finally posted a schedule, and I'm going to try to get in at one of the few times that they are open. I guess what I am wondering is if any of you think that it is too late to get back on track, or if I should give up. I am ready to start the process all over again if I need to, I just don't know how the people at the LAWL center are going to respond. I have been kinda depressed about it beacause I really want to take action and lose this weight. I don't know if anyone else has experienced anything similar, or has any advice, but I would love to hear from you all!

Hi Sunshine, my advice is to get right back on track. Don't worry about what you may have gained and least of all, don't worry about what the people at LAWL will say. You are paying them for their service. Everyone has their struggles from time to time. I don't know of anyone who made a lifestyle change like this and never hit a bumpy patch. It's kind of like taking a car ride across country and running into detours, and bad stretches of poor road conditions. Would you allow that to make you stop, turn around and go right back home where you started from, or do you just say " hey this is what is is, but I will eventually get across the country?'

Get to a meeting and let them help you ease back into things. A month from now you'll be so happy you did.

Sunny –

Never give up on yourself! It is never too late! Stop and think for 2 seconds, if you give up, what is going to happen? Are you going to magically lose weight? NO! You are going to gain more and more weight until you surpass the 300+ mark like me.

I wish I would have joined LAWL when I was at your weight. I would never have gotten to the point I am at now.

Go to the center, weight in, get it over w/ and own it. Then walk out of there w/ you head held high knowing you are turning a new leaf. You'll be so proud of yourself.

We're here for ya girl.

Default I know EXACTLY what you're going through...

I just saw your post - I know it was from a little while ago. But I wanted to tell you I can relate.

I joined LAWL probably at the worst possible time, about 3 weeks before we moved. I kinda felt pressured to join right then & there when I wanted to go just to find out the information. But something made me go in there, so I went ahead w/ it.

Well needless to say I've been on the plan 13 weeks & while I could be down about 26 lbs. I'm only down around 13 & feel like it's been a constant struggle. On top of moving, I had family out for 2 weeks in March & was for the most part off plan (nobody's fault but my own) but still managed to stay the same or go down a few ounces.

We've been in our house for a little over 2 months & I'm still no where near being settled. Recently I've been struggling w/ gaining & losing the SAME 2 lbs. But I haven't been eating on plan all the time. This past weekend I did as much as I could to try to organize my life & just decided that I MUST get back on the plan b/c otherwise I'm wasting my money & I'm not doing anything to improve my health!

It's NOT EASY for anyone by any means but it's especially hard when you're moving or have another major life changing event going on at the same time. For example, I'm also searching for a job! It REALLY tough when it seems everything is a priority! But you just have to decide to try to do it all & do the best that you can.

And I look @ it this way: the more you unpack & move around the house doing stuff, the better it is for you!

One more thing: I also get depressed (have depression & am on medication for it). When I'm off plan I get myself all worked up & don't want to go into the Center. But trust me - from my experience- the longer you wait the worse it is. Going to the center will help you get back on track. I always felt that I was gonna be reprimanded or something but they were always supportive & understanding.

Hope you're doing well & back on track. Give us an update.

Corinne
