Memorial Day Challenge
Who's up for another challenge? Okay, so I don't typically do well on challenges, but I still like the game and need all the motivation I can get.
I'm going to try for 8 pounds. I sure would like to look decent in shorts at our Memorial Day picnic. |

i really feel like i do better with goals. so that's 9 weeks. i think i would like to try to exceed my high school weight goal of 165. i think i can go for 160. if i make it great, if i don't, well, i at least lost some weight! |
is there a specific challenge or do we each make our own? i need a good challenge but i usually do best with very specific rules/goals.

gahundy, go for like 5-10 lbs.
see where you are halfway then adjust if you need to. it's your body, and only you know what it can do :) |

Okay.......I'll do 10lbs this time. I made my 5lbs on the last challenge so this seems like a good step up.

Ok ladies i'm in but wow thats a long time. I'm in for 10lbs. When i reach that goal i'll have 3lbs to go to be at goal. Yippee!!!!

OK Ladies. I'm going to put my name in this challenge as well. I am really struggling badly and I need to get my head on straight. DBF and I have decided to get married at some point this year (not sure when yet - probably late fall??) so I want to look HOT!!!!!! Or at least as hot as a 51 year old grandmother of 5 can. My goal for this is to get back to 175. If I get there before this challenge ends, I will adjust at that time.

I will join you ladies... but I'm calling it my POLICE/BIRTHDAY GOAL! On Memorial Day the POLICE are going to be here in SD and I'm going! Whoop whoop! Lol! And then the 28th is my BDAY! The big 22! So why not go for 22 pounds by then?!?! Is that a lot??? I don't care! I can do it... gotta start working out again though! Let's do this ladies!!!

I know! My DBF actually is the DIE HARD fan! So I'm just lucky and get to go too! I already saw them last summer in Los Angeles, so there's no way we could miss out when they come to San Diego. That would be insanity. I really need to get on that stinking wagon and get moving though. I've been super lazy lately! 22 pounds isn't just going to come off on it's own, so I think I'll go work out now! Peace!

Wow! There alot of ambitious goals here...that's great! I sort of feel like I'm whimping out with just 8 lbs, but like Rakuette said...only we know our own bodies, and mine is stubborn.
Cecelia - Funny that we posted at the same time. I actually waited a bit before posting, thinking someone else would surely do it first. lol :D Gahundy - Welcome...join on in...the more the merrier. Laurie - Hey, we are at the same height and weight right now...cool. Well, not really cool that we are at this weight, but it's nice to know someone else in my range. ;) Erin - I see you met your Easter goal - - what a great milestone! :carrot: Tuesday - I remember the last time I lost (yeah, I'm a yoyo) I could wear some size 10s at 158-160 lbs. Since we're the same height, that may give you an idea. Good luck everyone! |
Paula - I never noticed that we have almost the same stats and goal weight. That's nice that we are so close. Kind of makes me feel like I have my own "personal" WL buddy. Thanks for pointing that out!!!! Have a great, OP day.

I didn't realize I was in the LAWL section. I hate when I get lost with out even leaving my desk!! I am not on LAWL, but would still like to stay in the challenge if that is ok with everyone.

Woot. =) I'm excited about the challenge...it's actually my first real challenge with the 3fatchicks!!!
I picked 18 (2 a week) because if I hit that....then I would've lost 31 pounds, which is what I orginally wanted to do for graduation! But graduation is May 9th, so I know I won't make it, but hey, I can make it before A-Kon!!! (A-Kon is like, May 31st to June 2nd!) |

I weigh in with doctor approx every 3 weeks. That is my "OFFICIAL" weight. I do check the scale at home (daily...sometimes 2 or 3 times unfortunately). My ticker reflects my OFFICIAL weight loss.

i don't know how often everybody plans on checking in, but this is my check in for today: ate within my plan and did a one hour step aerobics class. i am sure i haven't lost any weight yet, but i am well on my way! |
Still POP! 5 Days in a row!
I WI daily at home and was up today. I'm not sweatin' it though. I know I've been good so I'll be back down soon. I need to get exercising again. Maybe that'll be my goal for the weekend: to get the basement cleaned up and start using my treadmill again. |
Jill, that's great that you've been POP. I rarely manage that...more often I miss a veggie or fruit. Have been doing better about not going over though.
Last night was a challenge. We took our 24 yo daughter out for her birthday...her restaurant choice. She chose a very nice restaurant (of course...the parents are paying), which didn't really have any good plan choices for me. I had a steak, mashed potatoes, and a couple of the coconut shrimp appetizers. I needed to have a salad, but they only had House or Caesar dressing and I knew they weren't gonna be good for me. Anyways, I still feel bloated today. |

My nexst official (doc office) WI is April 7th. Scale at home is looking like it will be a pleasant weigh in. Tonight my Daughter had her school play. I pulled some jeans out of the dresser drawer that I haven't been able to get on for over a year...and they fit!!! I am hoping when (not if) I meet my Memorial Day Challenge I will be able to fit into my Tommy jeans!!!

congrats kate! i love when i get to wear something that has been in the back of the closet for awhile! as for me, today is my weigh in and i lost 3 pounds!! i am sure that it is water weight but that's ok b/c when i came of cokes i gained 5 pounds that i am sure was water, so i am almost back to my pre coke days. after that i should start to see REAL weight loss. have a great day everybody! amy |
OK, I am in for 17.8 lbs. That would put me at 209 (I figured 30 lbs to 199.8 was pushing it:))

I wasn't PoP (if I think that's the right way to use the term...be on plan?), but I still managed to lose. Weird...I think developing a nasty case of allergies might've spurred the water weight loss, though. Hrm. *shrug* At any rate, my 1st post in this thread is updated!
