Hello all! I can't resond to all the messages, but just know that I'm wishing you all the best in whatever is happening in your lives right now!!!
Just a note to let you know what's happening in my life. My hubby is currently in ICU at a hospital in Dayton. He has been a beer drinker forever, and the doctor had told him he needed to quit because he has liver problems. Well, he didn't quit. He has been vomiting blood, his whole body is swollen, he's gained 20 pounds in 3 weeks. He went to the doctor on Monday and started vomiting there. They called the squad, took him to a small local hospital. After a few hours there, they transferred him to a large hospital in Dayton where the liver specialist is. Anyway, our son is home from school. Very understanding professors. I'm doing ok, but I'm exhausted. The dog is at the doggy hotel so we don't have to worry about him. I will keep you posted. Prayers would be greatly appreciated!! |

I am sending all my prayers and good wishes to your family. I hope everything turns out ok. |
Tammy: Know that loads of prayers and good thoughts are aimed your way.
Nikki: YEAHHHHHHHHH YOU!! Gotta love it when we see positive results of our actions. Still: My Doc is great too, knows how to laugh with me. Just recently, she got tied up in a court case and her office got totally out of control. After 3 separate failed trips to pick up work orders for blood work, I gave up and canceled my appointment. No need in getting bent, I'll just give 'em a few weeks to get a handle on things and then start over. Shy: You know that old saw about "Feed a fever and starve a cold" or vice versa? Well, my personal philosophy is "Feed Sugar Free Chocolate and bomb yourself with Nyquil" HEHEHE Happy Living, ALL!! |
Tammy just wanted to say that my thoughts are with you and your family...
as for my day.. i started it out by doing 15 mins of cycleing this morning and plan to go back to the gym at lunch to do crunches and some strength training, but i can't do too much because i have my country line dancing class tonight, and don't want to overdo it and be so sore that i can't work out tomorrow. hopefully i can stay motivated usually after a week or two i start to slack off. |
TAMMY-OMG you must be beside yourself, I hope all goes well for Hubby.
Shy, that is toooo funny about the house! Neat though, something about the house. We are still waiting for the owner of this one to call us so we can work out details. I know we want it, and so hopefully we "get it". |
happy wednesday everyone ! gosh Tammy i hope all is well with your husband, but remember to take care of you too ! my husband has been told to quit smoking since he has had cancer of the bladder, asthma and copd. do you think he has ? no. it hurts to watch him do this to himself. i'll keep you on a prayer list. nikki..i have such a slow weight loss i am thinking of dropping my cals. from 1800 to 1500. i dont mind the weight loss journey but i need more than 2 pounds in 2 weeks ! shy...it seemed to me for thoes first few days before taking alli to not eat fried or high fat cheese or oil..go lower fat. i havent had any te's and no side effects since i have taken alli. sue

OK all, I got my thyroid test results....I was LOW, really LOW...so they changed my dose of the natural thyroid medicine (and you know about the time I switched meds is when I started gaining weight!!!) and hopefully that will solve most all of the problems I have been having. I go back again in 4-6 weeks for another round of tests. And, my cholesterol was GOOD! YIPPY!!!! I have never checked it before so I didnt know what to expect as a result..lol I was happy it was in good range.

Tammy, I am so sorry that your husband is ill. I hope it all works out for you. You will be in my thoughts.
I'm doing pretty well this week with my food control. Found out my dr's office was damaged in a fire. The strip center where she has her office burned. Her place was more smoke and water, but they are having fits trying to salvage all of the medical records. I need to go see her in October to get a refill on my cholesterol meds. Maybe with my low fat diet that I've been following, she'll be able to cut the dosage! Now that would be great. Looks like we'll be hammered by a tropical storm tomorrow. Oh joy, just what we need, more rain! My lawn looks like crap this year because of all the rain. I swear the yard is drowning! |
30 grms. sounds ok..try alli after 3 days like the booklets say like i said i have had no side effects. glad you got you thyroid check out and get on medicine for it. send so rain calif way. we need it !!! sue:p

I must admit, i have experienced some weight gain. i am not good with transition, and with going back into classes full time, with my son and husband also in school, my daughter going part time, me graduating soon, and looking for a job, once again my health is at the wayside. But i am starting not to fit into any of my jeans, and I'm not having it! So i'm exercising again, counting calories, and taking alli! I need to put myself first, as hard as it is for me. |
Good afternoon all! Humberto blew up into a hurricane overnight much to the surprise of all the local weathermen. It also went east a bit so Houston didn't even get a drop of rain. Works for me!
I was bad and had a Heath bar today. I was goog the rest of the time tho so maybe Saturday the scale gods will still smile on me. |
Well DCAP, you hang in there, I had a bad weight gain too remember!?!?! I am only just getting back on track after 5 terrible WEEKS!!!!! You can do it!
