Great results from Bradley's Mom and K8-EEE.
Stacie - the article specifically states "2 protein bars (at least 8 grams of protein and up to 180 calories each, such as a luna bar). You definitely need more protein than you are getting from your slimfast bar.

I'm not a fan, at all, of cantaloupe...so I'm going to try this with oranges this week.

FYI - I paid $1.50 each for the Luna's BUT if you have KROGERS grocery store near you they have them for $.99!!

I got 86 luna bars off of ebay for what worked out to be 50 cents each! all still good too.

Lynn - How long did you try this for? It's not just a 2 day plan - maybe some weight will come off after you've followed this for a couple weeks; let us know. The article actually talks about someone's losses who did this for 8 weeks. Did you use cantaloupe? luna bars?? Any idea why you don't think it worked for you?

Joni,
My comment was made in a hurry and I did not explain myself very well. I did the 2 day acceleration with cantaloupe and then followed the rest of the plan for 2 weeks. I used LA lites. I lost .6 in the two weeks and I did not think it was worth it to continue with the repeat of the 2 day acceleration. .6 is about a normal 1-2 week loss for me at this point in time in the journey.
Why do I think it did not work for me? The plan is similar to what I do all the time. I use cantaloupe alot also. I think my body did not see a shift in my eating.
Anyway, near the end of the 2 weeks, I received my fucothin so I was ready to mentally move on and try something else. I have been taking the fucothin since 8/31 and so far I have not seen my weight drop anymore than it usually does. However, I believe the fucothin is increasing my metabolism because I am less sleepy. I am more alert, but not wired which is great. I am still hoping that the 6 week adjustment period for the fucothin turns out to be correct. To be continued.

Talking It's Working For Me

Hi. I'm new here, but I wanted to add my 2 cents worth. I have been doing the acceleration (sort of) that was shown in WW, and I have lost 13 pounds in the 4 weeks I've done it. However, that doesn't really reflect what's been happening for me. I travelled for two of those weeks and lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks. When I got home, though, I got sick and so had a week + of not really doing much and gaining a few pounds back. However, last week I lost 10 lbs. I'm not sure on inches bcz I can't find my notebook with my measurements, but I know I've dropped a lot of inches bcz I wore a skirt to church on Sunday that I haven't been able to fit into for about 4 years.

Since I'm feeling better, I'm adding in exercise this week and see how that goes.

Thanks ID & congrats!

OMG they have the DUMBEST WW "diet o' the week" ever on WW. It's some lady eating a hamburger on the cover and it says "lose weight eating McDonalds, Burger King and Pizza Hut!" Or something to that effect....LOL....no doubt you are supposed to eat minascule amounts of selected stuff, I dunno, didn't read it but the headline did make me chuckle!

Pity the poor diet editor at WW having to come up with 52 'NEW MIRACLE DIET BREAKTHROUGHS" every year!
