You are doing great! Your weight is going to fluctuate a bit depending on what you are wearing, what time of day you went to the center, when you ate last, etc. So I doubt you gained 2 3/4 lbs! Keep up the good work!!!

Oh those red lobster rolls...the cheesy garlic biscuit like thingys? I LOVE THOSE!!!

    LoseNow-
How long have you been doing LA? What bars do you usually get?
  • Hi everyone!! I posted another thread and was told I'd have a little more luck over here. I just didn't want to interrupt people's stories of success!! Congrats everyone! It seems like LA is working for alot of people. Anothr question I have is this, I have PCOS and i was wondering if LA works with that..is it good for me etc..if anyone knows..I know you're not doctors or anything. I want to start next week, when I'll be closer to a center..So do you all reccomend it?
  • Cailin-

The LA plan is really just a lot of fresh fruits and veggies, lean protein, and a few carbs. I do not see why anyone would not be able to follow this plan. It is probably a good idea to discuss the plan with your doctor if you are concerned though.

Whether or not you decide to do LA, you are more than welcome to join us here! The more the merrier.
  • Hey everyone!
Hope you all had a great day!!!

Honey~Hang in there...you lost and that is what matters!! You are doing awesome!!

Diane~I am with you! You can't cheat on LA! I regret everyday cheating b/c once you get off it is sooooo hard to get back on! It just isnt worth it!

Hope you guys have a great on plan weekend! Here's to everyone losing 2 pounds this week. What do you think?? ANYONE IN????

    Marciew
  • Hey ladies! Thanks for the support. Do you think we should start a new post? This one is getting long

What do you consider cheating? I can't stand veggies (except fried) So last night I took zuchinni and summer squash and sliced it put it in a little flour and sprayed a pan with pam and the veggies and put it in the oven. It was as close to frying as I can get, but I used flour which technically is not OP. My friend is the manager at the LA site I go to and she said it is a no, no. I told her, "hey, I'm trying different things so I don't get burnt out on one vegetable. So I will probably keep doing it." I mean really how many calories can a dusting of flour be? Or am I wrong?

Veggies are so hard for me!! I hate them!!

    Talk to you later,
    Crystal
  • Crystal-
I have seen recipes in the LA Weight Loss cookbook that call for flour...usually a tablespoon or two. So I say go ahead and use it. Another thing you can do is take melba toast (which is on plan) put it in a ziploc and beat the heck out of it with a rolling pin or malet. When it is crushed up in a fine powder you can use that to bread your veggies or chicken. I do it all the time.

And yes...this thread is getting pretty long. Start a new one if you like.

    MarcieW-

  • LA weight loss
    Hello everyone,

Jibbelle, my favorite bars are honey nougat and chocolate peanut butter. I've only been doing LA a few weeks, I have 25 lbs to lose. I didn't go to the center today, I find I do so much better like you, twice a week. I seem to be cheating a lot less since my plan was changed to blue, an extra starch, diary and protein means a lot. Plus, I do exercise and I was worried that if I didn't get enough food in, the weight won't come off.

Cailin, LA weight loss would be great for you with PCOS. Many folks with PCOS have an insulin resistance condition, lower carbs with lots of fruits and veggies would be excellent. Matter of fact, I can't think of a better diet plan for anyone with PCOS, you see with weight watchers, you can eat lots of whatever with your points. If you eat all carbs, then your body makes more insulin and your whole problem starts again. Many people are doing well with PCOS, with Metformin which is actually used for diabetics, but it is working so well with folks with PCOS. Weight loss will help a lot with your PCOS, good luck!!!

I'm in for the 2 lb. challenge, I'll weigh either Thursday or Saturday. Imiss my hershey kisses!!!!! Take care everyone, and drink that WAWA....
