1 S, 1/2 P, 1C. I don't like too much bread in my PB & J. Plus, by doing the S, 1/2 P, 1C I get both more PB and more J! Granted I'm on RED so I do get the 3 starches a day.

Also, in a pinch I've put 1 1/2 Tbsp PB on a LA Biscotti, that's a quick out the door breakfast. I leave the house at 5:15 every morning, I have 90 second breakfasts down to a science.

Are we allowed to have waffles? Can you use sugar free syrup? WHat would it count as?

Another good idea for a fruit is 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce = 2 fruit

1 Low Fat waffle count as one starch. It's in the original program books. I think the S/F syrup would be one condiment. I typically do the waffles with either cream cheese or peanut butter instead of bread.

Man, I must be a real pig.......cuz I truly LOVE eating all of my foods. I rarely feel like it is too much.........but I guess, maybe at first, it seemed a bit overwhelming. I now truly enjoy a piece of fruit......or a salad.......do you think that makes me nuts???? LOL. I do think not eating lites makes ME enjoy the sweet tastes to foods that I never was really able to appreciate. I am not dissin' lites........cuz I really enjoyed them.....but it is a very different experience without them. Anywhoo........I didn't really help anyone here.......just chatter

I don't know about you guys, but the hardest thing for me was accepting the fact that more food would make me lose weight faster. I found it hard to trust the plan, because it's just so counterintuitive. In fact, yesterday I confused people at work by telling them how I wasn't losing weight as quickly anymore, so my COD switched me to a plan with more food. But of course, LAWL knows best!

I agree! It's hard to believe that we get to eat SO MUCH food and LOSE weight! I'm doing better with eating it all. But my COD suggested eating a whole protein for breakfast and half for dinner where I had been doing the opposite. I did that today and am STARVING! I have never been a breakfast person so eating so much in the a.m. is hard for me and just leaves me hungrier in the evening. Not to mention tends to give me a headache. BTW, I gained a pound from Monday to Wed. Any chance that's from it being "that time"?? Is that normal? Sorry for the Too much info. Just wondering...

It's usually water weight. A lot of women retain water like crazy during their periods, plus personally, I find I'm more likely to give in to temptations (mmm chocolate). So it's a double whammy :P

Just wanted to say that I totally agree with the whole "counterintuitive" thing - My dh is on the plan with me (we started 3 weeks ago together) - and we often will sit there in amazement at how MUCH food we're eating...and yet we are FINALLY losing this weight!

Yeah, just a little south. Thanks on the pic. I finally got some Easter pics sent to me from my sister and it was so funny because I looked at them and realized that for the first time this decade I didn't have a double chin!
