Way to go, Ladies - We survived!!!!!:carrot:
Cassi - What a loss!! I don't know how much I lost on the actual t/l. I weighed in yesterday, and had lost 2 since Friday, though - so thats enough to keep me happy for now:) Kim and Barb- you must be pleased with your losses, too! Nicole - thats a bummer about the scale, but like Cassi said, we are basically just out of the starting gates, so there's lots of time to see those losses pile up! I actually took my scale and put it in the closet last week because I have this unhealthy compulsion to stand on it everytime I'm in the bathroom (which is alot these days with all that lemon water!!) I'm trying to gauge my success on how well I've stuck to the plan rather than what the scale says, and surprisingly, I'm seeing better results even ON the scale at the COD. (I go in the full 3 times a week - it helps to keep me on track.) Well, I'm going to go drool over my kids' breakfasts - I have to wait about another 4 hours for my breakfast. I can't even drink my water. What torture. Boy, that slimfast shake will be soooo good this time..lol |
Rhonda - GL with your blood work. Enjoy the slim fast. Mine was heavenly! And I even forgot about the string cheese. I will have to have that with lunch.
|
I must have missed something somewhere..............Rhonda.......you are having bloodwork done? Is everything ok? You cannot even have water??? What is that all about?
My HS must be possessed by the devil. When I first woke up this a.m., it said 195.6.......like 40 minutes later, after 2 cups of coffee and my slimfast shake, it said 195.......so whatever. I don't usually obsess about my scale, but I really have not had a net loss since the middle of December, and all I can think is, what a huge waste of 4 or 5 weeks. It's time to make some flippin progress, ya know. Cassi.........still so thrilled for you. It is sooo tough to hang in there when the scale isn't moving......thanks for keeping me grounded when I am really wanted to say &**^ it! :) |
Nicole - I've been there. I had a major "slow down" at 25lbs. Be patient. It's a waiting game. Remember the saying that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar? Give your body honey, not vinegar (not literally!). Be nice to it and reward your body with healthy OP foods, and a yummy flavored tea. Your body will reward your kindness.

I am sure hoping that those shakes taste good! I haven't heard anyone say otherwise, and I am kinda picky, and have a strong gag reflex (which is actually why I'm going for the scan) I have to fast from midnight until my test. It's where you drink some yuck and then they do a scan of your esophogus/throat/whatever.
In the summer I started having a sensation like I was wearing a tight turtleneck sweater or a really tight necklace or something, and it has worsened to the point where sometimes it feels like I'm pushing at that spot on my neck where it makes you want to gag. This might be TMI, but it gives the sensation that one gets just before they vomit...:dizzy: I don't know what they are checking for, but hope they find something quick. But on to nicer subjects....lol We are all gonna kick butt on this challenge together - I can feel it. No one gets left behind!!:D |
GL at the Doctors office.
|
Wow Rhonda - that sounds uncomfortable. GL with the tests. Any food tasted great today, I thought, so hopefully your extended wait will be worth it.
Official COD had me down 2.4,which I am thrilled with. I'm going in again tomorrow, though, for my post TO WI, which usually is a slight gain. We'll see. Cassi - Having one whole bagel is totally worth it to me to order online - I'm such a toad, why haven't I done this before!?! Thanks- I'm gonna go look now. Nicole - Don't say &*&$%@#@ it! Your body has had a little 'rest' and now it is time for it to shake it and move along (that's what I've been visualizing)... I've just had my slimfast, some spaghetti squash, and my cheese, and I'm very full... the stomach is thinking....hmmmm.... what do I do with all of this? |
Kim Way to go on your loss!
|
Kim - WTG!
COD visit has me officially down 3.6. Monday morning the home scale showed 206.2. COD WI @ noon had me at 204.8. First time it was EVER less than home scale. And this was the time I wanted it to be normal! Anyhoo, home scale had me at 199.4 this morning, and COD WI was 201.2. I am a happy, happy girl! High as a kite, one could say. (oh wait, that's the vicodin...) |

Rhonda........I don't really like the slimfast shakes. I have used the powder w/ milk before, and I liked that much better. I will probably pick some up tomorrow. I mananged to drink the premade shake, but didn't really like it too well. I am baking some fish right now......late lunch.......and I am REALLY looking forward to it. I hope they figure out what is wrong SOON!!! KIM.........WTG!!! If you keep your sodium down, I bet your gain will be minimal if at all. It is so nice to see a loss, isn't it???? K, have to PM this recipe to Cassi, and then post the drama of my a.m. on the losers thread. |
I am sooooo stupid! I just sat down to figure out what I ate so far today so I can make myself some supper and I just now realized that I don't have any proteins left...UGGHHHH! I said (out loud) 'You're kidding me!' and my DD started laughing at me so I had to laugh at myself. I hope this challenge gives us all the results we're hoping for:)
|
tina-you must've done a slimfast for breakfast-whenever I do that it messes up my normal "breakdown" for each meal- I usually have 1/2 P at breakfast. Hang in there!
As for me-it's going well-FF took about 4 lbs off and I'm finally at my lowest weight ever! Hopefully it will hold . . . |
WTG Julie, you are almost at the century mark AND in onederland!
|
I did have my slimfast for breakfast...I thought I would alternate breakfast and lunch.
