Smile How about a head count...

I haven't a clue who is still here and who left. So maybe say hello and let's get something going to motivate us all again and get this board hopping! I know it's summer and everyone is out and about, but hopefully we can do something since Phyllis graciously stepped up so the board will stay going.

Hello,
I guess I will introduce myself since I have been a long time lurker. I would hate to see this board die. My name is Mary Green. I am a SAHM of 4 kids. My husband is in the US Coast Guard. We are stationed in Kodiak Alaska.

I have been doing the 3 hour diet for about 3 weeks now and just love it. I have about 45 pounds more to lose.

I look forward to getting to know everyone on this board.

Mary

Hi and Mary!
We use to be stationed in Fairbanks, '92-'96. Really loved it there!!! In fact me and dh were just talking the other day about taking the boys up there next summer. I'm Cathy and I have 2 boys, Lane 7 & Cam 10. I live in Michigan, but I'm from Texas. And the boys and I are heading home in 12 days! I'll still be posting from my mom's. I look forward to chatting with you more.

Welcome Mary......Happy to have you join us here.

Alaska, I have never been there but we almost went on a cruise there this Sept. but opted for the Oregon Coast again.

I am married, live in So. Florida and we have just retired after selling our office supply business. So traveling is now on our agenda.

Yes, we are trying to revive this site so post as much as you can and we will try to get active and a challenge running soon.

Hi everyone,

I am here too after being away for a while. I was on vacation and have come back with about 5 pounds to lose. Actually, I want to lose 11 pounds because I am lowering my goal.

I live in California and have 2 little girls ages 2 & 3.

hi y'all! i am single, mother of two, and just starting the 3 hour diet. i've only been on it for a couple days and LOVE that i have found this website. i don't have the book yet but i have watched several things about it and have read the websites. i have a hard time getting out and getting things so hopefully this will help until i can get the book.
lemme ask something...the food at the meals seems like ALOT...could it be that i'm doing it wrong? also i have a really hard time w/the breakfast. any hints would be great

Good morning everyone!!! I am SO excited to see some postings here! I was about ready to give up on this board!

I am still here and ready to kick it up a notch. Summer tends to be a little quieter on my schedule. I am hoping to drop 20 lbs this summer. Overall, I need to lose about 40 lbs I guess. I will decide on a final goal as I get closer. Right now, I would be THRILLED to just lose 20! Isn't that sad?!

No Sharon that is not sad. Sometime when we break the weight loss up in to smaller goals it is easier for us to reach them therefore urging us on to larger losses and reaching the total goal.

I am also going for a 20 lb. loss this summer......we can all do this together.

Hi Apollo Chick~
If you have a library near by maybe you could go check out the book from there. It's easier than getting to the book store. And keep a food journal. When you say the food seems like a lot, I say stop when you're full. Maybe save some of it for your snack. Breakfast is my favorite meal so I like to have 2 eggs, morningstar patty, 2 slices of lite 5 grain bread and milk or cereal( I like Optimum slim) with fruit. Having a good breakfast, for me , helps gets me through the morning. I hope you stick around.

Cool

cathy, thanks so much for the info unfortunately it is just as hard getting to a library--i have chronic fatigue and can't drive b/c i have a habit of getting lost hahaha. i'm not sure if i'll have lots of luck reading a book. i can't read anymore (although it's one of my favorite things) b/c i don't understand alot of the words and have a hard time remembering what i've read--how crazy is that??? but i have some of the basics and i will probably get the book and have my mom look over it to remind me and keep me on the right track. I'm here! Married, no kids, 2 cats, and I have Celiac disease so I can't eat wheat, oats, barley or rye.

John is doing well -- he started physical therapy and he's a little sore from that. He has to go twice a week for 12 weeks. He can't do any active motion with the arm for the next 5 weeks, so he can only run the sweeper with one hand!
