Well there are just a few small details, I have been married twice and I am not getting any younger, neither is he. We are not going to have a big wedding, just something small with the kids and a few friends and VERY casual. I am not a big wedding person, I dont' like the attention on myself. So dont be surprised if I tell you we had it at the court house!! LOL! We are aiming for July 20th, that is not written in stone. They will move in here in June, so we can prepare his house to put on the market and sale. It needs the routine stuff painting and carpets cleaned and all that normal clean up stuff. With the hours he works, it would be hard for him to work and be at home sleeping and someone want to come show the house, so they are going to move in here and then we will put it on the market so it will be empty when showing. My kids like him alot and get along great with his kids. The kids are excited about us getting married and in fact his 15 year old daughter Lauren keeps telling him he better not screw this up! LOL! Its too funny. The boys are excited and it is taking some time for Keilyn to get use to having others around but she is doing well, she actually asks to go to their house. She is comfortable with Larry and is slowly opening up to him and letting him do things for her but also, she knows she has him wrapped around her finger already!! If mommy says no, she runs to Larry and tattles on me! LOL!, its really funny!

There is a problem though, Lauren his 15 yr old is having some issues. She does not want to change her school and leave her friends and is a real drama queen. We have work on this, its not like she is moving out of state and she can still see her same friends on the weekend so she will adjust just fine.

Our plan is for them to move in here for awhile, I start Broker school next month and when we have somethings paid off and his house sells, we will probably put this house on the market and get a bigger house to make our home. We have already sat down and talked and talked and discuss this and that and chores and rules and consequences and we have every detail worked out on paper so we can give each of the kids a set to have on paper so they will know how things will be once they move in here regarding rules and stuff. We have really done some preparation and planning that is for sure. So thats it for now, I will keep you guys updated as the plans and details get worked out.

Laurie, if you go to the court house, just make sure you ask first where the judge's chambers are!

When John and I got married, we had a ceremony planned with about 14 friends and family in Las Vegas at a wedding chapel there. But 6 months before our wedding, John needed to get some dental work done. I couldn't add him to my insurance until we got married and he didn't have any.

We woke up one morning and said OK, let's go get married today. We called the first judge on the list off the internet at the county website and he scheduled us for that afternoon.

We didn't look up the address first, and when we got down there, we were getting married in the county jail. Not the administration building -- in the jail. The judges' chambers happened to be in the jail and he did weddings between the morning felony arraignments and the afternoon misdemeanor arraignments. I couldn't quit laughing through the whole ceremony.

This is so exciting for you! Sounds like you have it well-thought out and have made some good plans for merging families together. The 15 year old will come around -- that's just the age for making everything difficult.

I'm so very happy for you!
